In this episode of Guftagoo, we meet the former MP and Chief Minister of Odisha, Giridhar Gamang, who is better known for his exploits with the Changu, a tribal drum. Gamang, was born on April 8, 1943 in Rayagada district of Orissa. He has been a member of the Lok Sabha for 9 times starting from 1972, when he was elected for the first time. He also served as the Chief Minister of Orissa from February 17, 1999 to December 6, 1999. However, what sets Gamang apart from other politicians, is his love for music. He heads his own tribal musical troupe, "the Hidden Talent" and his stage shows have the audience regaling with joy. Giridhar Gamang with his tribal drum, Changu, and a mesmerised population swaying to the beatings of the drums is not a rare sight in tribal Odisha. in this episode he discusses his love for the tribal music and many more.
