i think this was a Verni Gonzalez original but most people on YT use Imelda Papin's version. Why is that?

Both Imelda and Vernie are great singers and have unique great vibratos as well. Yes, Vernie first sang the song in 1980 while Imelda in 1981. But I think the song was more popular when Imelda included it in her album. Maybe because of her fame as the "Sentimental Songstress" in the Philippines.

The song was written/composed by " Emil Loseñada" who also deserves recognition and admiration.

Aah! Gotcha! I still do prefer Verni's version, though. It's what I'm used to.

@@sadiriabenojar6704 I'll make karaoke video for Verni's version if I can find an instrumental/minus-one arrangement based on her original recorded version.
