do you know if this battery pack allows you to charge the detector and detect on the go at the same time. like the minelab equinox does? .....thanks in advance.....

I was at the beach yesterday when my Legend ran out of power so I connected my battery pack and carried on detecting.

I enjoyed that spicey little intro, it was like I was watching CNN or something. Thats a good idea to have a soare battery for those weekenders or when you get caught short and forget to charge it. I have akways said though I am never a fan of adding weight to a metal detector
@northdevondetectorist2 жыл бұрын
I agree the weight will be more, but only to be used as a backup.

Would you just leave the extra battery pack on and connected so when the internal battery loses it's charge the external battery then takes over ?
@northdevondetectorist2 жыл бұрын
You have to think of the weight having the spare battery on all day, I would put mine in my rucksack until needed.
@wobblybob70294 ай бұрын
i leave mine on the detector all the time and plugged in to the control box is there anything wrong doing this .Its one less thing to loose. NOKTA please make all your device head phones pinpointer battery pack all compatible with the same data / charging cable.
@northdevondetectorist4 ай бұрын
I only use it when needed I have it in my little rucksack and only put it on when the Legend battery has died on me. Plus it's more weight for the detector.

What color will the LED on the battery be when it's fully charged?
@northdevondetectorist2 жыл бұрын
It will turn green when completely charged. Mine took about five and a half hours to charge.

I just got this and nothing/nobody covers what the charging indicator lights mean and how you know when the battery is fully charged. Do you? My charger just flashes red and green back and forth then they go out. Is that normal or is my charger defective? What does yours do? Thanks
@northdevondetectorist Жыл бұрын
I will charge mine up and let you know Russ.

@@northdevondetectorist thanks because the Nokta user manual doesn’t cover the charging lights for this battery in any of their literature. Only has a diagram.
@northdevondetectorist Жыл бұрын
Russ I have just charged it flashed red and green then when fully charged it stayed at green, hope this helps.

@@northdevondetectorist thanks. Yeah I leaned that too. When they are new it takes a while. I think I didn’t have mine seated in all the way.
@northdevondetectorist Жыл бұрын
Just try it again Russ see what happens.

I know, seems self explanatory. But I'll have you know, I couldn't figure out how to pull the damn thing out of the sleeve. I mean, I could twist and turn the end cap. But didn't want to apply the pressure to pull it out of the sleeve. I was so worried I would break it. Thank you for the video and showing me not to be afraid, pulling things... lol Well, maybe someone's finger is still a risky endeavor eh? lol Seriously, thank you sir. 👍

You could apply some silicone and/or dielectric grease on the rubber/plastic "o-ring"... and yes, I realize it's not actually O-shaped :-)
@Dirtydetective7 ай бұрын
How about how you can tell if it's charged? Which is the sole reason why I even watched this.
@northdevondetectorist7 ай бұрын
It will flash from one colour to the other when fully charged it will stop flashing.
