I'm gonna be honest. I think overdress finally fixed all my issues with I had with vanguard but also has the dumbest anime to accompany it. I watched about 8 episodes and I get that it tries to tell a more human story but the game itself just takes a total back seat to everything. Like there's just this huge disconnect. The first series actually taught you how to play and focused everything around it. In overdress, they'll spend a whole episode playing will they won't they with danjy and yuyu and then just rush through the actual game. Even the imaginary battles (as nice as they look) just feel dumb because I know it's just 2 dudes standing at a table heavy breathing at each other. So yeah, it definitely feels to me like a very weak entry which sucks because the game itself is better than it's ever been and the main source to represent it treats it like an inconvenient plot device.

I missed so much your "tutorial" like videos for vanguard. Even after 10 years of playing the game, it is always refreshing to get a solid, objective guide video to remind oneself about the basics.

Amazing video DF! Deck building has always been weird for me to grasp in vanguard, but this definitely shows me a lot of the thought processes that go behind creating a solid deck.

man i haven't played Vanguard in such a long time so this video was much needed! A lot has changed since i first picked up the anime (and consequently Leon Soryu's Aqua Force trial deck)

Appreciate the vid as always, my guy! This was a big help as someone who's beyond eager to start bashing skulls as our favorite skull-bashing dork Danji's ace! Speaking of, this helped me realize that I really wanna try and survive my games as long as possible so I both don't have to sweat as much when it's time to guard, and when it's my opponent's turn to guard I want them to already be at high damage so the pressure's really on when Bruce re-stands. So to alleviate those issues, I loaded up on Gungunuram and Brody to both aid in my draw power and help block magic numbers while still having stuff on my G2 turn to attack and intercept with! Just what helps me sleep at night, though you're cool to run what you like with the big demonic bungus. All in all, appreciate the tips and looking forward to more stuff from ya!

I'm just now starting to get back into Vanguard with Lyrical Monasterio around the corner (I was a Bermuda Triangle player in G), so this video helps A LOT with figuring out how to build a deck.

Man, that's the exact Nirvana list I ended up using haha. Tensha really feels more like an extra rather than a key part of the deck. Maybe if Dragon Empire got a Counter Charge unit, but even then I think the other parts are more flexible with newer support waves.

I actually had a moment playing earlier today where in my Hexaorb deck I realized I relied on some of the weaker AI decks not running much retire effects and playing the long game so my lineup of 3 draws and like 8 fronts to just high roll over everything doesn't do as well against something like Bruce and other more rushdown archetypes. I switched to 7 crit, 4 front and added Felicida for games I don't CB often in since it's another 13k attack and it can even give me super high roll potential with 4 drive checks if I have 3 CB available on my persona turn. Also fun fact Hexaorb procs on the rearguads attacks if OT is active so I can use effects to stack the deck then get up to 7 drives that turn so it can high roll an absurd amount sometimes. Been loving this game so far and literally everything looks so cool

I will say in terms of deck building I hope they introduce different effect PG's from Draw PG's to the G CC PG's so that it further increases the variety in the deck building

Honestly I havent taken vanguard seriously since G. I loved G, was a NG main standing up everything over and over again. V just felt weird to me in terms of how it was played so I just stayed away from it. But from what I've played of D thus far. It's different feeling from either of the previous series. It's weird and different like V but I dont exactly dislike it like i did with V. I'm oddly excited so I'm REALLY looking forward to start playing with these cards IRL and looking to see how the game evolves from here! :)

DBT01 really have great RRs for every nation, Fossado, Ellenia, Majorite, Bobalmine and Arcs are all really good 4 ofs, even more so than some of the RRR

Haha I started playing vanguard during the limit break and legion era, and all i do is i get alot of cool looking cards and just put them all in one deck. I even merge both limit break and legion in one deck which I'm not sure if u can do that lmao

I mean start decks are $4, but if you do need proxies if you go to The Top Deck Heroes their descriptions have a link to proxies you can print. Also you can download CFArea and play with other people online. You can watch Nexus Corps video on how to set it up.

You can’t mix, you choose a nation and you build with the cards of that nation

Prison Orfist?? How does that work? Wouldn’t playing the prison order cancel out the effects of the world orders therefore making Orfist an ordinary 13k Attacker? Or do you not need the prison order to lock cards into said prison?? I’m confused now.

Idea is you ride to g3 with Orfist, get abyssal dark night up to make tokens in the backrow, then transition to prison depending on the gamestate by riding Seraph Snow/playing your prison from hand. Gameplan tries to compensate for pure prison's overall smaller numbers using shadow army boosts, and is definitely more "dynamic" than pure Orfist.

Nice video about solid guide line for making a deck. Then again, I like D series because of the fact that even though there's so much cards and tech that you can bring to your deck, even a top tier deck like Bastion has so many different list that tops a tournament. You’re limited to 4 heals per deck haha

Basically the Grade 0, 1, 2, and 3 that work together for one deck's strategy For example: Sunrise Egg, Blaze Maiden Rino, Blaze Maiden Reiyu and Chakrabarthi Divine Dragon, Nirvana - all effects lead into one another after they ride on top of each other, thus they are a "Ride Line"

@@DifferentFight So it's a ride deck but you look for cards with specific synergy? So for example, in a quick search on CFV+ I couldn't find any Dark States Grade 1s with an effect like Rino, but you might play a ride deck of Uncanny Burning, your favorite grade 1, Electro Spartan, Baromagnes and call that a "Ride Line" because it specifically works well together for at least part of it?

Deep Soniker has a VC effect even though it doesn't call out its riding card by name, so I guess the grade 1 would probably be that. Or Steve.
