I just wanna say thank you for this guide. Just attended my first meet and having watched the video right before I went really conservative on all openers and felt well prepared for the whole thing. Got 9/9 with only one red light on the first bench and PRs in all three lifts. Very good guide, listen to it guys!

I competed at a local USAPL meet where I was not allowed to use wrist wraps from an unapproved brand. That was 6 years ago, but I would recommend looking up the approved manufacturers just to be safe. USAPL only allows equipment from companies that pay them a kickback.
@JuggernautTrainingSystems6 жыл бұрын
That was an incorrect application of the rule by them. The equipment fees are an IPF thing, not a USAPL thing.

Do you take any period of time off before coming into a meet? I’ve heard people say anywhere from 3-5 days off from lifting so they come in fresh. Thanks for the video man. Planning my first in 2022.
@JuggernautTrainingSystems3 жыл бұрын
The time before a meet is called a taper. How that’s handled is different based on how strong you are, how big etc there is more info here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pdSgoc90s63enHU.html

Is caffeine along with simple carbs recommended during a meet while waiting between different lifts? e.g. coffee with some sugar, energy drinks
@JuggernautTrainingSystems7 жыл бұрын
That can definitely be helpful.
@StrongButAwkward7 жыл бұрын
Cool thanks. Just didn't know if too much caffeine early in a comp could lead to sluggishness later.
@toanvo4275 жыл бұрын
@@StrongButAwkward key is follow your regular routine. If you normally do preworkout then go for it before you warm up. Nothing new that will throw you off. Good luck

check out NRW Powerlifting or the federation in Rhineland Palatinate in germany. You can join the german BVDK while not being german. That is only possible when you are not registered your countries IPF affiliate We have a lot of competitions in germany each year. Obviously you have to travel a bit
