"Guild Wars is an online role-playing game series developed by ArenaNet and published by NCSOFT. The games were critically well received and won many editor's choice awards, as well as awards such as Best Value, Best Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, and Best Game."
The video goes over content from Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall. I do not discuss in depth story content, but rather mechanics so you can experience the surprising thrilling story for yourself. It's a game full of outdated movement mechanics, but it's skills, mods and builds are better than most games available today.

The gw1 manuals were awesome, I used to read and reread them all the time when I was a teenager. I still have my box copies of all the gw1 games on the bookshelf in my office.

Recently bought the game about a half year ago and man, I'm having a blast with it, more so than GW2 lol Finished Prophecies and Factions, onto Nightfall.

I remember when I was a kid being stuck on the mission "closer to the stars" in factions, it took me forever to complete it. But when I did it felt amazing. Love guildwars 1

I ran ring of fire probably hundreds of times, never to complete it. It was still fun as a kid, loved the challenge. Went to WoW and fell in love with that game instead.

@@xxxsmoke4lifexxx I remember Ruins Of Surmia on HM. I was hard stuck on that one. Grew a deep hatred of Prince Rurik. Derpy prince aggroes every enemy he can find, and if you finally make it to the end of the mission he takes actual ages to knock on a door.

I still play it after all those years lol! Got almost 5k hours in it and still there is stuff to do. I only wished they made some new content!

I used to play from release, and not even 5 years ago there were barely any videos on YT about Guild Wars 1, mainly OSTs uploaded(thanks guys) and a few guides that were never taken down. But I am SO glad to see this resurgence. I played this game when I was 18, I'm 36 now with 2 children and don't anticipate investing so much of my time doing this again, but my account is still active and every once in a while I love to sit in the places I spent the most time in with people who may be reading this now. What a thought huh? All of my characters have the last name "Arroyo" just in case anyone may know me!

I play a few times a month and it's so refreshing. I don't have to worry about timed events or confusing aspects. Just the wonderful music and enjoyable scenery.

I play it for nostalgia but it holds up well and is a lot of fun. Hard for me to get into new rpg’s without the nostalgia factor. A lot of time and bs to play new ones.

Right? Why should you need to play a game for 15-20 hours for it to start becoming good. GW1 is simple and the lvl 20 cap is easy to hit.

good video and great game - one small correction at 36:25 this is not correct --> all itemmods are active even if the things are not identified :)
