Finally a guide i understand!!! thx so much for this so detailed its lovely :) been trying to understand the ascended thing for two weeks now and i got it :) still really new in the game, but each day everything gets easier to understand :D much more fun to play when u actually understand ingame stuff haha

to say this is a fantastic tutorial is an understatement man,. super helpful..... I have been saving everything for years..... after watching this crafted a whole set.... popped enough agony on those on top of my attuned infused gear to attend lvl 100 fracs..... thanks a grip man. this is the best for anyone who is interested

Between this and the fractal recipes which would you say is cheaper to craft? Great video once again 😁

Thank you 🙂 The fractals ones will be overall cheaper, especially if the recipes needed are expensive on the TP, or if the materials are expensive like Maguuma Lilies for Trailblazer for example.

Is mudara same as berserker gear but acended and added vit?

Maurader does not have to be ascended, you can also get it as exotic. It is a little less than berserker in terms of damage, but adds vitality to give you more sustain.

I hear some people talk about that they craft an ascended that is cheaper and then change the stats to the one they want in the mystic forge, because that spends less money overall. What makes some that much more expensive? The recipies or the components?

It is NOT always cheaper to do that. And in most cases if you did it, you'll only save maybe 1-5g. However, you were right, this method is overall cheaper for items that need expensive Recipes on the TP, like Harrier for example. Or for Items that require account bound materials that are not easy to get, like HoT ones for example, if you don't have time to do the metas.

New to the game, and didn't knew about that, thanks for the info, good to now the options :) but why would I want to craft expensive ascended armor piece rather the cheaper version if available? it depends on the kind of attribute stats you get (e.g. +power, +healing, etc) or there are other benefits from the expensive version like the amount of those stats you get?

You are right. It is all about the stats, and what type of build are you running. Keep in mind that more expensive items aren't always better, it may simply mean that their recipes are not easy to get.

I have a medium character but the only recipes I can buy are for heavy, whats goin on with that?

The class you are on has nothing to do with the recipes you see. It's all about the discipline you level up for crafting. So, assuming you want to craft Medium Armor, you need to level up a Leatherworker for that. If that was not clear enough, please feel free to ask again

Welcome back to GW2! I am not exactly sure which vendor are you talking about, but all the crafting vendors can be found in the major cities, like Lions Arch for example, or if you have the special Gem Store Passes, they are also in all of them

You can buy those recipes from any of the vendors right beside the crafting stations. For example, the weapon recipes, from the weaponsmith vendor besides the weaponsmith station. One of the tabs ( usually the 3rd or 4th ) will contain all the exotic recipes, and at the very bottom you'll find the ascended one. Buy that ascended and choose whatever option you want from that. If that is not what you meant by your question, please let me know and I will get back to you.
