Migraine is the achievement for completing the hearts of minds story mission in Heart of Thorns with the challenge mode active. Now why Anet decided to have challenge modes for some story stuff back then and how they managed to make this one actually challenging, no idea. But it is something i wanted to do since a while ago and i got around to it now.
Before the fight starts you get the option to choose 2 of your allies out of the 3 avaliable. These allies don't help you that much during the fights but what they do is that they determine your enemies since you are fighting a version of them corrupted by Mordremoth. I went with Canach and Caithe which meant having Blighted Canach and Blighted Pale Tree as the first 2 bosses.
My first try was with Canach and Eir because Pale Tree initially was wrecking me. That run was 7 minutes longer with Canach being a bit faster actually (by 1 minute) but Eir being 8 minutes longer by itself. The reason i revisited it, is because i knew i could burn through the Pale Tree much faster so i wanted to see if i could make it through that with some adjustments.
For Canach i took cleansing fire due to him having some attacks that stack up a lot of burning on you. For Pale Tree i took armor of earth which i used after the add phases. I tried to be close to the adrenal mushroom so i as i can reset my cds and use it again.
After you deal with that phase, phase 2 isn't really a big deal tbh and then in phase 3 i wasn't sure what was going on, i thought i had to protect my allies from the enemy waves but apparently i just had to stay alive until they do whatever it is they were doing. and then i one burned the final 25% of the boss.
I could see it being possible to do a sub 30 but it is also something i don't feel that much like grinding to be fair.
