Strive overdrives are way better animated than XRD. They just don't have Instakills.

The thing I love about Xrd over Strive is how much more personality it has with the intros, outros, win quotes, and of course instant kills, it makes me love the characters even more. (I miss Elphelt)

The thing I love about xrd over strive is that xrd is not an unbalanced mess aside from elphelt (I don't count Johnny because he actually is strong in the sense that you need to learn him hard to be strong)

It's kinda sad that Guilty Gear Strive doesn't have Super Moves that rival the cinematic Supers seen in Xrd Rev 2.

I think gg makes up for it bc every super has a cinematic, and so do some specials. Plus the dynamic camera angle on combos. We might still get instant kills in strive at some point.
