My guinea pigs are alarm clocks when they're out of food or water "Weet, weet weet..." "Weet, weet, weet!" "Weeeeet weeeeeeet weeeeeeeeeet!" "WEEEET WEEEEET WEEEEEEET WEEEEEEEEET" They just keep getting louder as I get the food XD

Me: *gets home from exhausting day of school* My guinea pig: *WHEEEEEeeeeeeeek* Me: Okay, okay. I'll feed you. Mgp: *purrs* Me: *puts in food and reaches out to pet it* Mgp: *purrs* That was the basis of my day.

Looks like my guinea pig is hungry 20 times a day then :D

Me: *opens fridge* Guinea pig: WHEEEEE WHEEEE WHEEEE!!!

My guinea pig ran out looking for the crying baby 😂😂

@ Miranda Cortes thank you :) it's a lot of stress for a guinea pig in a car but if you need to transport them, there's no way around it and the only thing you can do is make it as stress free as possible for them. I needed to travel with Sylvester for 4 hours in a car and he didn't have any problems!

I love their exploring squeak..they always do it right before I go to bed and there's something just so soothing about it. My second favorite noise to fall asleep to is the sound of them eating..cause at least I get to fall asleep knowing that my boys are happy

I watched this video near my piggies, it scared Char Char. He started replying to the video with high pitched loud eeks! I stopped it and he is now back to eating veggies. So no harm done. Love these videos, they are very informative.

The "I'm sexy and I know it" sound is actually a domination sound that guinea pigs do when they want to show who is the boss or tell the other one to go away bc it's their territory.

@Angelica Bellinger: I would wait for a few more days (as long as there is no blood). Tater probably squeaks and runs away because Tot is the dominant one and wants her to go away from his food bowl, favorite spot etc.

The exploring squeak sounds like little squeaky bubbles popping! I love when they do that. My pigs are the loudest things ever. Imagine 5 guimeas screeching at the top of their lungs, almost knockimg over the wall because they think I'll feed them when I walk into the room. Or talk. Or open the fridge. Or crinkle a bag!

I finally put my 2 male guinea pigs in the same habitat after months of procrastinating! One is a teenager and the other is an adult. They got caught snuggling eachother and they are frequently squeaking happily at one another. Although my older one keeps purring at the younger one because he won't stop playing! I can hear them through the walls lol! They habe played together before and have been in habitats next to each other for months so I know they get along & like eachother, they're just getting used to living together ☺

I have heard my neighbors guinea pig make the second to last sound (I am hungry sound) and she has always thought it just meant that it likes you!!! although, she is only in the first grade.....

Excellent break down and in my opinion, pretty accurate. People don't seem to pay attention to the body language of their pigs when they make sounds. And piggies are SO sweet, they tolerate many things they don't like (but try to tell you they don't like, verbally) and if the sampling on KZfaq is any indication, people are pretty bad at reading pig body language. The best happy sound in my opinion is the chortle but it's hard to find videos of it. I only heard it with my human-bonded pigs. They would chortle to me as they cuddled on me and fell asleep. I miss my Puffkin and my Mull so much.

Aw man, my guinea pig does the "annoyed squeak" 0:34 when I pet her. I thought this whole time she was being affectionate but I guess she just wants to be left alone. Now I feel bad for petting her and bummed because I thought we were friends lol.

Sometimes when I pet them, they do the "sexy" purr once and sometimes stay quiet afterwards. They also do that purr when there's a loud sound, but they don't move. Hmm... haha

I need moaar!) and we thought if ee took him out more hed be used to us, so we left him alone the first day and held him around the next, turns out he was using the agressive sound and back off! he was chatting his teeth in my lap, I already knew that ment bad but I didnt know that the squeak was back off, I read up on it and it said he was happy! oh dear

Your Guinea Pigs are so cute!!! But I noticed that some of the sounds/noises you put on are wrong or not complete. I have a guinea pig myself and I used to have two and my Guinea pig makes those sounds sometimes in a different way. When my guinea pig makes the Exploring sound it is like he is content and happy but he does sometimes when he is exploring. And the sound meaning the guinea Pig wants to be left alone my guinea pig does that in a different way. He makes that sound sometimes when he is calling out for food and I have never heard that sound as a warning sound before because my guinea pig does a different sound for that. With the Male dominance sound my guinea pigs used to do that sound when they were in their hutch together like a greeting and the were/are both boys. And the warning sound my Guinea pig does that differently as well like the Left Alone sound but he still does the teeth chattering sometimes. I don't want to sound mean and I'm sorry if I do but I just wanted to say. And also I think your guinea pigs are soooooooo cute!!(especially the baby) 😀

Hi! I just got a male guinea pig yesterday and his name is Ozzy. What breed is that one black and white guinea pig that has black at its rear with a little white in it? I want to know because that what Ozzy looks like😄😄

I miss my guinea pigs so much now. They died almost a decade ago, but still. I've missed those sounds.

my guinea pig died. Today :( at the age of 1 month and 2 weeks. I did everything right. I cleaned the cage every time when needed. I gave it fresh hay (other foods also) and water. Wolly has a friend too, they get along very well. He was very active and he might be hiding his illness. He couldn't walk at first because wolly was too weak. I brought it to the vet immediately and he ate some medicine. Wolly did not make it :( makes me so, so sad. Anyway, he had been a great pet and friend.
