Guitar and vocals with portable $135 Pyle PA: the 600W PWMA930IBT
I just bought this Pyle Portable PA Speaker (www.amazon.com...) for about $135, looking for a way to easily amplify guitar and vocals through one portable lightweight unit. And I gotta say, it performed pretty well in the first tests.
In this video I talk about the features of the amp before running a quick indoor test, followed by an outdoor mini-gig with my friend Justin Wierbonski over at Demonic Sweaters. We had a lot of fun even though we only got through about three songs before we were stopped by staff at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
While I was testing this Pyle amp, Justin was simultaneously testing a new Tama Club-Jam Mini drunk set he’d picked up. You can see his review of the kit on his channel here: • Is The Tama Club-JAM M...
During our mini guerrilla gig I played a couple of my songs which you can hear on Bandcamp (ronanconroy.ban...) or most digital outlets like iTunes, plus we also played one of Justin’s songs. You can hear all his music on his label page at Bandcamp (anthillrecordin...). Justin’s song Portal is a cool grunge-esque Nirvana-sounding song he wrote recently, which I duly botched in the performance here by messing up some chords and the arrangement. Sorry Justin! Check out the original at anthillrecordi... because it’s awesome.

This thing is very impressive. Sounds clear and the distinction between vocals and distorted guitar is amazing.

Thanks for sharing, I'm gonna grab one of these as it's affordable and works fairly well for the money.

The hum is a deal breaker. Just awful for an audio amplification device to have so much noise on the floor before a note is performed. I get it's cheap though. So, I guess you get what you pay for. I'm thinking about the only thing something like this could be used for is a small venue bingo announcer. I opted for a Bugera AC60 for $219. Satisfied with my purchase. Thanks for this demo/review.

Thanks for watching. Yeh is just a good option for something super portable when sound quality isn't top priority but you want semi-decent sound. I've been happy with it when I've used it for small gigs

Someone asked if this would take a bass guitar. I wasn't sure but then I saw the promo photos on Amazon show someone playing a bass through it, so that seems like a yes: www.amazon.com/Wireless-Portable-Speaker-System-Rechargeable/dp/B01GJMAOVM

what would the "audio" input work with?

Not 100% sure - I haven't used that line I don't think. I'd guess anything with a 1/4" jack, so that could be an instrument or anything else adapted to that size like a mic or iPod

I'm actually not sure, I only have one of them. I know they have audio out and audio in, so you could potentially connect them that way, but I don't think they can be wirelessly / bluetooth paired

I haven't personally tried but based on how I was able to have guitar, wired and wireless mic all at the same time, I'd guess yes.

How long does it last when fully charged?

I've played it for a couple hours but never really tested how long it'd go. Too nervous to be caught with a dead battery so I've usually charged it up again every time.

I’m thinking of gettin this. I’ll just be singing over tracks from my phone so i think this will be doable. Do u recommend I get another wireless mic or use the one that comes with the speaker??
@ronanconroy5282
@ronanconroy5282 2 жыл бұрын
I'd say try the one that comes with it - it might be fine. The one I had ultimately had issues and I used other mics, but I'd say see how the one you get works and sounds before investing more money in another one.

@@ghanasoul Depends on the environment. This 600W has been fine for me but I haven't been going for high fidelity and projecting over distance. For me, even without knowing how it would sound, I figured $135 was a level of risk I was ok with.

Sorry for the slow reply - I was trying to see how good a test I can run without some help - I could do two mics (vox and guitar) but probably need another person to properly test using the third mic. I can do this but not immediately...
