What we have here is a great guitarist doing what he loves, playing music that inspires him and sharing it with us in his inimitable style ... we should be eternally grateful! All the Cream, Eric, Jimi comparisons here are pointless. They all have/had gifts that we mere mortals only dream of. Carlos play what you like, ...my ears will be there to listen and appreciate...

Another prime example of Carlos covering a great song and making it his own. Witness Black Magic Woman, She's Not There, Stormy and others. Top guitarists shouldn't be viewed as competitors but flowers that comlplement each other. A colorful musical spectrum. Kudos to all of them!

this is a 40yr old song that sounds as fresh as anything else out there today! cream gave us a gift and santana/thomas unwrapped it.... this song is the definition of timeless!!

I love the negativity here from the "mother's basement dwellers" that haven't seen daylight in oh so long. This is a really good album, fun music with a lot of great memories, well produced and once again...FUN.

Rob Thomas did an awesome job! Santana is a sensation as a soloist. He has a fabulously talented band! Any and all Artists that he collaborates with...are magically beautiful, romantic and rock the house down.

I think this is actually gonna be the first album that i will buy to this day... this is what i would want to have for all eternity... like it says on the cover - "Guitar Heaven"... and the heaven-ish feeling is provided by none other, then the one and only, doctor Carlos Santana and Co. The only thing i regret is, that i have never got the chance to visit one of his concerts. But from what I've seen from the footage... damn, the energy that this man creates on the stage is second to none.

I think I can say that carlos is one of if not the greatest guitar player of all time.And you can sit and agrue that the cover dont due the orginals justice but if anyone desevres to do a cover its carlos santana

Guitar Heaven and Supernatural are two great albums with Santana sharing his skills and doing some great improvising of some of the great clasics of all time! The modern day singers are blessed to be playing with him! Great stuff!

Santana has the skills to recreate this masterpiece without direct copying- its exciting to hear there's a lot of feeling and passion, no doubt! The Cream version original is still untouched simply because it is the original. Sad to say, but consumers today generally prefer copies of classics than having to deal with a new original style. This is certainly the better side of cover versions, and shows Carlos Santana as a passionate craftsman who knows what he is doing so well he just feels it.
