these kids are very special, they work hard and do everything in house, mixing and recording wise, they are independent also. Kid on keys is good, he's 15 now, his brother on bass is 16, singer 19, drummer 22, lead 23.

The Trooper is a good cover. It is from their earlier years. The lead singer, Melody, was still playing bass and Ethan who plays bass now, was playing rhythm guitar. Sam is the lead guitarist and Aby is the drummer. Justin is on keys. Their original music is awesome.

Ive been a rock fan since a long time ago...theres been Eddie and Dimebag and Randy.....and I honestly think Sam is the next guitar God. He can play like a madman and is damn great at it.

The lead singer used to also be the bassist, and the brother who took over the bass duties for her used to be the second guitarist. I think they used the keys to fill a lot of that roll. It's obviously a little different sound, but I think it turned out pretty well.

One thing about Liliac is they will pick a song they really like and rather than try to cover it as a cover band would they stay true to the lyrics and music while using their instruments and vocals . Melody (singer) used to play bass. Ethan (bass player) used to play rhythm guitar. They switched him to bass so Melody could focus on vocals. They use the synth to fill in the sound where the rhythm guitar would be. Melody is a HUGE fan of Dio and styles her vocals after his style. She’s an amazing vocalist and a beast on bass. You should watch their Trooper video where she’s playing bass and singing at the same time. Your next cover should be Symphony of Destruction then Last In Line. Their original stuff is great too. They greatness of this cover is they have to make up for the lack of a second guitar with the keys, all the while playing one of the most difficult Metallica songs out there.

Most people get introduced to them through their covers but their originals are great, Mars (Live in Cumming GA) is a good intro into them or Chain of Thorns or We are the Children. They soon will have 3 original albums. Anyway you got a New Sub, hopefully more Liliac to come. Also they live in Georgia now. Symphony of Destruction you will enjpoy s well. Funfact" The drum risers were buit by the factory they are playing in front of as a gift..if they used their factory in the background. Keyboard was used as a filler because they didn't have the 2nd guitar. :)

They never try to be the exact same as the original and Melody sounds like this all the time she has been compared to many of the great raspy female singers and a few of the males but she is unique. Because they are a family whos youngest member Justin plays keyboards and piano they obviously include him and a keyboard in all their songs which are without exception spectacular . Their father known as papa Liliac is their manager and record producer and all their performances are videoed and edited by the family . They have written two albums of original songs and have two albums of tribute covers some of which are better than the original . You being a guitarist will appreciate the two covers you mention as they both highlight Samuel's (the eldest sibling) guitar abilities . Great reaction your subscriptions just grew . FANG4LIFE RORH

You will find that most of Liliac's covers are on par with, or even slightly better than the originals. The keyboard element may seem odd or off putting at first, but once you listen to more of their stuff, you'll get a stronger sense of the mood that they bring within the song and mat even feel that that they should have been there all along. And a little fun Fact, Aiden Fisher, who was the stand-in guitar player on Stranger Things, is a personal friend of the band, and he's more than likely going to be their touring guitarist, as a 2nd guitarist. This will free up the bass and lead guitarist to do their thing so they don't have to mimic the rhythm section.

I would recommend their earlier stuff like "the Trooper " cover from Liliac.

The point about the keyboard sound is a good one. It was maybe a little light and airy. It could have been a little more blended with the strings. Still turned out pretty well though, especially with a kid that age playing.

Liliac played Dios' "Last in Line" as a tribute for a Cancer Benefit Fund show last year at Wendy Dio request. They killed it! Wendy gave them 7 days to complete her request and beat her timeline by a day or 2. " Melodia" (Lead Singer) a nickname given to her by Dio/Sabbath drummer Vinnie Appice who calls her a female reincarnation of RJD. Ronnie is Melody's idol and actually has a few recordings with Vinnie Appice on youtube- GoDpsMusic will take you there.

Try their cover of "The Last in Line" which was done specifically by request from Wendy Dio during the Cancer Tribute for Ronnie last year.

Next time you want to sing along to one of there covers I don't mind that's a good thing. They do a cover of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself For Loving You" soo good or Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody To Love" is also excellent.
