Carole King wrote the song and recorded it first in 1971. I think the commenter meant it to clarify because the way you phrased your comment was like it was James Taylors song, but it isn’t. He recorded Carol Kings song and put his spin on it. So in truth this talented young lady put her own spin on Carol Kings song and did it justice.

Candace has very Smooth , controlled voice . Her diction is excellent and she enjoys singing . She sang the song effortlessly . She made it look easy . Her vocal range is very good . She switches her ( registers ) voice from head voice to chest voice without a problem !

The first two ladies were absolutely fantastic singers. Voices like silk and so smooth. But the one I have to give a big nod to is Jasmine who met Reggie's call for bravery and came through all that nervousness and shyness with a reasonable effort and a great choice of song.

That would be the only reason I would ever do a step in a church. I love gospel singing. If christian in Germany would have sing that way I would go too, but what they are singing never touched my soul. There is no passion in it, just reading notes and sing what they read without soul...

The church singer’s voice was smooth, beautiful & seemed very easy for her, she sounded wonderful. The 2nd & 3rd singers seemed nervous but thye rocked it out anyway. Everyone did a great job singing in front of perfect strangers which isn’t easy.

The lady who sings at church is one of those people that you want as a friend for life. God Bless her and the sunshine she gave us with her beautiful smile and song. The lady who sang heaven from Haiti is such a beautiful sole, she dedicated her performance to her Mum. It touched my heart as I lost both my parents in the last few years and I was also very close to them and was blessed to be able to look after them just like they did for me. My sister and I were both very sick and unfortunately I was given two years to live when I was 32 and after giving up teaching and being a foster Mum I moved home to them. I was independent financially and mostly healthwise but they were there to call the ambulance whenever I was bleeding out. I'm now 45 and have somehow surpassed them and while that is scary I cope the best I can. I just felt like i was able to repay them a little bit for how they looked after me. Reggie you have some very inspiring people come sing with you. I think it's your friendly smile, relaxed style and personality that draws people to you. 😊

That lady, who sang Heaven? 😲 Actually he was a transsexual man, who thinks, he is a woman. It can happen but he was not a woman. But yes, he sang really well. The last girl, Jasmine sang also well but she was very nervous. Many people have good voice but they are just nervous, just like me. ;) But I do not sing as well, as for example Jasmin does. She is a really nice lady and she was flirting with Reggie. ;) I liked the way, she did it. ;) It was just lovely. ;)

@Theworthsearcher I like to be diplomatic, non judgemental and respectful than yourself. She was wearing a skirt and top which present as female and no one has the right to tell someone elsen their gender.

It's certainly not worth a big discussion. If said person was telling me they identify as something other than a woman I will respect that and use the pronoun they ask me to use. It is not something I agree with for myself but I refuse to disrespect other people because one person can't understand that a stranger doesn't have to answer to their standards.
