In a government communique issued on February 4, 1948, the Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Patel-led government said it was banning the RSS “to root out the forces of hate and violence that are at work in our country and imperil the freedom of the Nation and darken her fair name”. Additionally the RSS was declared an unlawful organisation throughout India. The communique stated that, “Undesirable and even dangerous activities have been carried on by members of the Sangh. It has been found that in several parts of the country individual members of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh have indulged in acts of violence involving arson, robbery, dacoity, and murder and have collected illicit arms and ammunition”.

It costed roughly 400 million USD for this. Could have spent this money usefully. Nearly half of the funding was from the federal government where other states have also contributed, but spent on this out of their will on PM modi’s home state. And now he is begging for money to COVID-19 while thousands are losing their lives and no hospital beds. Still we don’t know where all those COVID contributions are going. Maybe he is saving that for a 🐄 cow’s statue later.

Walkthrough forest! that one? Next to the Narmada? Ok sure, I think everyone should have an experience of walking in that dense forest. I have tried it once, and I will never do that again. It's difficult to walk, you can not seat, you have to be alert every second, and you are screwed if rains. And if it's dry, then grass gets pointy. So unless there is something really important to do inside a forest, no one goes there to just wander.

Indi - you should look up the giant statue at Shravanabelagola in Karnataka state (about 300 kms from Bangalore). This was built a long time ago (over 1500 years ago). It is almost is carved out of one stone.

I am a Gujarati living in US but have a home in Vadodara. I visited the statue in 2019. Standing at the base and looking up you need to really crane your neck, bC you can’t see the head at all. Bc Sardar is Aldo known as the iron man of India, the statue is made of iron donated by citizens of India. It’s entire weight is carried by the arms. How appropriately suggesting the responsibility of uniting India was in his hands.

Thus his statue is called statue of unity. And he was very strong both physically and mentally so "lokhandi purush" or iron men was his nick name and this his statue is made of iron.

Indi. Just because of the diversities in India. 80% Indians itself are not aware of the complete india, so its just ok if its not taught or portrait the way it is in states. This is mostly because of the diffrent indian region leaders have ruled india at diffrent times and have taken decisions which have cater to there region people at their times. You correctly mentioned Sir AB Lincon who played major role in uniting N & S America. Same or more impact Sardar Patel did to India in their Geo Political decisions at the time of division.
