Its more like Jashn-e-Rekhta meets Kashmiri.. and whats so urdu about Jashn-e-Rekhta. Not one book was there at any stalls in urdu.. every book was in hindi every banner was in hindi.. You should name it to Jashn-e-hindi that would be much better.. Your anchors were speaking in English. This particular band was communication with audience in English..

'rekhta' is common for hindi and urdu, rekhta is hindustani, isn't it?

@@fehadrashid9321 Before Mughal conquest, it was just one language, which is 'hindustani', but upon mughal rule, farsi (Dari, to be precise) was made the language of government, and then came the language of 'camp', and so we call this derivation of hindustani 'اردو', which literally means 'camp' in farsi. the hindustani which was written in 'kariboli' was called 'Hindi'. The hindustani with rich farsi vocabulary, is called 'Rekhta', used in shayari and such art forms, which is either written in devnagri or persian script, is rejoiced here. And the band sung kashmiri no doubt, check out their song 'Ziyankar' which has basically a music composition of 'jawab-e-shikwa'. Love Urdu btw.. :)
