Tim thats not stock 335i its lauchned to fast for 306hp , a stock 335i is not fast except for 0-100 , 5,8s 0-100 for 306hp stock is really bad , gti makes 6.3 but with 80hp less a gti with stage 1 and 260hp would easy smash a 335i

@@Phantom-vn3nz The N54 twin scroll turbo does 0-100 km/h in 5.5; not 5.8 and a stock MK7 GTI does 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds; not 6.3. That second is a big difference. I have seen many stock 335i's and they definitely launch like that. The near instant-torque from the turbo makes them launch fast like that and the rear end always squats to that extent like in the video. A GTI stage one would be very close but would still lose by a car length or so to a stock 335i. 5.5 seconds to 100 km/h is not slow at all for a car with that power and size. So many other cars with similar power do not even come close to a 335i performance-wise. Oh, by the way; you shouldn't even mention that a tuned stage 1 GTI would beat a stock 335i (not that it would though). That is not a true representation of the cars' performance. Stock vs stock is how they should be compared. A stage 1 335i would obliterate a GTI. Two can play at that game mate.

@@aaron5222 I agree that the dsg is amazing. I had a 2008 R32 with one. Now I have a Evo X with a manual. Just something about cruising in a manual that is more fun . But for racing you can't beat the DSG . Perfect shifts every time.

Daijahrel B come to Melbourne where all you see is A45’s, CLA45’s and C63’s. Literally everywhere same way Golfs are heavy in the GC. Certainly no such thing as a rare merc. R’s get way more respect here and usually put most Merc’s to shame. That’s here though, and we certainly do have a lot of rich kids who wouldn’t know what a clutch is behind those mercs (not hating on Benz at all, just the people driving them here and the flooding of the roads with them).

Just like an rs3 kicks an A45 ass, (we are talking about stock because you can modify anything beyond crazy) I can admit that stock rs3 kicks a45 ass, but then again thats comparing a 2.5 L 5 cylinder engine to a 2 L 4 cylinder engine just to be fair. Ok so the fastest mass produced 4 cylinder car, that being the A45, doesn't command as much respect as the cheaper, over sold R that is about $35,000 less. Ok so you really want to compare an VW R to an AMG. I feel stupid even saying it (as I read my comments out to write them) Hang on I worked it out, were you $35,000 short? Not saying that great modified R cars don't exist but you ain't getting close to the a45 unless it's modified to the shit house. I feel like I'm in the €uckenTwilight Zone. My flat mate is looking at new cars at the moment and I've got the new Australian recommended retail price list for the VW R and the Wolfsburg right in front of me. All I said was in Melbourne - 1) Golf R's get more respect as they are much more widely embraced by the tuning scene here, as opposed to A45's and some other MB's, therefore they usually smoke any Mercedes car's whether by track or by the old stop light drags. 2) See your comment and your sticking point to $35k to see why Mercedes drivers get little to no respect on the roads here. By the way, I don't drive a Golf R. I am quite happy in my M4. However your point of "Modified to the shit house" for an R to keep up with an A45 is incredibly ludicrous. With a $800 tune (not even custom, a preload that you can do yourself), no bolt ons, not even a pair of new tyres, a Golf R DSG will run a sub 4 second 0-100. Quite a few videos on youtube even pulling as low as 3.7 in good weather. Thats almost supercar territory. That is because VW's AWD system (same as in the RS3) as well as its DSG (Same as in the RS3, and hell even the Bugatti Veyron) runs rings around Mercedes progress in those areas. Look it up if you don't believe me. In order for an A45 to achieve that kind of 0-100 you would, as you put it, need to modify it to the shithouse. We're talking custom tune, suspension, intakes, exhaust, tyres, the works. AMG produce their cars pretty much at the limit of what the engine is capable of with its current hardware, which is awesome don't get me wrong, but leaves little room for improvement without hardware modifications. Respect on the roads isn't based on which car manufacturers make the most HP, if that was the case, if a Falcon XR8 (the last one) pulled up next to both an A45 and a Golf R those drivers should stare in awe, but they wouldn't, then they'd both destroy it. It's behaviour of the drivers, stereotyping to a point (rich babies in Mercedes, absolute douchebags in BMW's [I gotta deal with it a lot, I'm sure my reply here won't help], Cheating men in Audi's etc), as well as what the community does with the cars in question. AMG's here are never tuned, modded or even personalised much, they're on the road as a matter of stature, and probably because they are financed and people are scared of losing warranty. You got that 3 pointed star and you're king/queen in the drivers eyes. A Golf R driver, in Melbourne, is looked at as normally someone who saved their cash and got their car, and 99% of the time, there's something sinister under that hood which you cant tell as its the ultimate sleeper, therefore most people, unless they know their car is running something wicked (i.e a Tuned RS3 for example), doesn't really dare fuck with a Golf R. Hope that makes sense.

I wouldn't buy a different car just cos the one I really wanted is too common, don't care what everyone else is driving, I buy what suits me personally, and in this case it's the Golf R
