Open carry is a good deterrent, the more people that do it and do it often it drives a thought into criminals heads that most people are armed and will stop them. Whether you like open carry or not it is needed.

A report of prisoner interviews in 11 states, said that 40% of all those interviewed had not committed a crime "on at least one occasion" because they saw a gun. They had then decided to not commit the crime they had intended because of the increased risk. If that is not crime prevention, and proof of guns saving lives I don't know what is.

I’m glad I just bought some, hoping to buy more (some backpack plates) with all of these counterintuitive “arguments” from the left. What are they going to do? Start regulating how hard steel can be? I know that if there ever were a ban implemented we wouldn’t have expertly coated armor but I’m sure people who are in the know could easily still get AR500 steel and some Rhino liner or something similar to PAXCON. It’s just placing even more of a burden on law abiding citizens as well, like all of the rest of their unconstitutional gun laws.

Just a heads up, don't order the ones botach sells if you want to get them before next year. They over sell what's in the inventory, without any notice or communication after the sale, while you wait for your order to update wondering what is going on. The lady that finally got back to me, said they oversold so much that even the shipments coming in were not going to be available for orders previously made. Have a good day 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I went to my first gun show this year & at one of the booths, a guy was offering me some body armor, but he told me that it was British police armor, which was also anti-stab. So it's a Meggitt Armour Systems soft HG1A level (Assuming it's Level III in NIJ standards) rated for 9mm, . 357 & under & it's also KR1, which is an anti-stab level. He demonstrated to me that it was anti-stab by actually slamming a knife onto it & it didn't pierce through & it also had straps so you can wear it under your clothes. So I ended up buying it, primarily because of these times & I wear it when I go out on the weekends or when I don't go to work

“Keeping bullets from entering your body” definitely a worthwhile endeavor. High velocity lead poisoning is definitely a bitch, unless it’s happening to the bad guys.

In CT, body armor sales are all but banned already. We are the only state that bans online armor sales, we can see still purchase armor face to face, but buying armor in person is difficult(almost impossible) because there are not many places that sell it and the sellers are basically all police supply stores.

I would argue that a ban on body armor is unconditional. The 2nd amendment is about the right to preservation through a tool providing both offensive and defensive capabilities. Body armor is purely defensive and passive at that.

Wearing body armor while driving can help reduce injury in case of accident. Mainly injury caused by seat belt and steering wheel. Body armor is for more than just defense against getting shot. Although it does wonders against being shot.

I don’t know man but as an outsider looking in if shootings are becoming more prevalent body armour sounds like a pretty logical thing to have on your person like you said pretty passive form of defence

You can get a backplate for the emergency personal carrier. That’s the set up that I keep in my car with level 3+ plates.
