Very impressive my friend I always love these old style guns seeing these restored personally I would have preferred to seen it highly polished instead of the black finish but awesome job none the less never seen any of your videos on till now I just searched the gun Restorations and your video popped up like I said impressive work look forward to seeing more of your videos

У меня один лишь вопрос ,неужели у вас нет средства для воронения оружия ,зачем хороший пистолет красить краской,когда у вас есть и пескоструйный аппарат и реагенты для удаления ржавчины ,странно ,пистолет красивый ,работа над ним проделана ,но покраска краской оружия это не приемлемо.

This is Jugoslavian Zastava M57, not Tokarev.

Great job! This is a tracing-paper from a little-known Browning model of 1903 with an old trigger, chambered for Mauser 7.62x25 instead of 7.63

This type of video actually makes sense, I mean, restoring a knife for exemple sometimes is more expensive than buy a knew one . In this case you are restoring an expensive gun or at least restauring an historical one that should be preserved.

It's actually a Zastava M57, the famous TT (Tula-Tokarev) or Tetejac. The grips say SFRJ (Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia) so there's no mistake.

Been better off just polishing it till it looked chrome took my tokarev tt33 and stripped all the blueing and polished it . It looks like it's chrome all shiny and pretty.

Lol I bet this was one the easiest restoration you've undertaken I like the black finish, but a polished result would compliment the engraving better, but as always its a matter of taste. Great work

@@Moistpotatoman if you know engraving you know how minimal this one was and with its depth it almost looks stamped. Engraving is one of those things that if done right it’s beautiful, but this one was not. Instead it takes away from the beauty of the TT itself. OP please correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe they feel the same way. Otherwise they would have drawn more attention to it instead of covering the gun in black.

Good job but I would have coated it gunmetal gray and given it a semi-gloss or a satin finish. Black is boring and high gloss is boring again. But any way he likes.

You Shouldn't have painted it .. if anything maybe re blue it and gold paint fill the engraving the engraving motif suggests it belonged to a cavalry soldier

I don't understand why you not disassembling the ejector and the firing pin including the spring. This are very important things for the functionality of the gun.

I wouldn't have made them black, so the engraving doesn't show up that well. I would polish the Tokarev to a high gloss..:-) :-) :-)
