Outside filming, no audio until shooting started & still had trouble hearing vocal. Beautiful 1911. I have always loved the 2 tone look.

It is the prettiest 1911 to me in that price range and is one of my options The only problem I have is , grabbing the slide eventually the bluing will wear out .Especially around the serrations area.

Got mine a few months ago. This is a GORGEOUS gun in person, and it just looks as mean as it is. I have to finish breaking mine in though. Wish I'd gotten the 10mm kinda, but I feel like you need at least one 1911 in the lord's caliber. After I take it to the range a few more times, it's going to be the new night stand gun.

10mm is better for hunting but hard to beat the .45 ACP for 2.legged predators. I have owned about ten 1911s in my life, and still own five 1911s, everything from garbage AMT Hardballer, Colt Government, Sig TT, Springfield TRP, Colt Commander, Comrade Lightweight Officers, and now only have 2 Les Baers, 1 Ed Brown, 1 Colt Commander, and the Springfield Ronin. Everyone in .45 auto.

I have one. Very nice shooting 1911. I took it to a local gunsmith and got an amazing 3.5 pound trigger job. Then replaced the thin grip bushings with regular grip bushing screws so I can use replacement grips. Since it does not have front strap checkering, I installed Pachmayr Diamond Pro low profile wrap around grips. Also cerakoted the slide so it will be more weather resistant in case i carry it hiking or camping.

Nice SA. now send it back to SA for the front checkering Magwell and night sights like on the TRP and a trigger job so U CAN KEEP YOUR LIFE TIME WARRANTY

Now remember if you plan on doing upgrades send it back to SA so you can keep your LIFE TIME WARRANTY. Basically you will be getting the TRP treatment like megwell ambidextrous safety front checkering and night sights

It's june 2023 ...just purchased a Ronin 1911 10m. I like a working Man's 1911 .. 10mm is very versatile. Also, springfield armory customer service is excellent 👍

Just picked one up yesterday, something about a well made 1911 that just feels right in the hand. Aesthetics are perfect and slide feels like butter… Only things I would change on mine is possibly the trigger and WC bulletproof extended mag release and a spring kit.

How would you say it would be for smaller hands? You mentioned the mag and slide release are maybe not in the most convenient spots? Thanks

I have the Ronin in 10 mm and people think that the rear sight is adjustable and it is not but you can get the Dawson rear adjustable sights for like 55 bucks which I'm going to put on because mine came not centered anyway and you can't move it at all

U will void your life time warranty by adding them sights. Send it back to SA and let them do that adjustable sights job so you can keep your LIFE TIME WARRANTY.hell wild they have it let them go front checkering and Magwell like on the TRP

Does the Ronin have a plastic trigger? I've heard that it does, but Springfield Armory doesn't identify what the trigger is made out of.

Takes Wilson mags all day long. Safeties may need some fitting by a gunsmith. a few bucks at most.

Don't do it U will avoid your lifetime warranty . To keep your life time warranty send it back to SA and let them do it ambidextrous safety and let them do the front checkering Magwell and night sights like on the TRP

My .45 ronin 1911 5inch has Failure to feed issues; bullet nose dives, slide does not return home into battery. Any tips?

9/10 times its the mag, 1911 mags are infamous for spongy followers. Get a mag from sig or wilson combat that has a solid follower all the way down to prevent nosedives and fail to feeds.

Toss the magazine es and use Wilson Combat mags. Sounds like the cartridges and being released too early and not being guided into the ramp at the right angle.

It depends on the magazine. Just slap in a Wilson Combat 8 rounder. I have dozens of Wilson 8 rounders and even a handful of Wilson 10 rounders. But I wouldn't go more than that. Those cheap gunshow, made in Pakistan, 30 rounders will guarantee to malfunction as the spring will be too strong to insert the last 5 rounds and too weak to hold the first 5 rounds.

That’s what I paid for mine at a local gun store. I bought it 2 mos ago I’ve ran 4 to 5 hundred rounds thru it. It looses up nicely. Great gun

I use Pachmayr Diamond Pro wrap around low profile grips. But you will need to replace the thin grip bushings with regular grip bushings so it can fit regular grips correctly.

Springfield needs to do better. A hard case would be nice. For my hellcat it’s ok. But the ronin?? It’s worth the upgrade

All my hard cases are under the bed gathering dust. Les Baer 1911s come in a cardboard box! And that's for a $2,500 1911. But that's OK. Not like I'm going to use that hard case to carry the gun around anyway.

I run my guns too so I got me an Alchemy Custom Weaponry Quantico Hicap....and i shoot the SHIT out of that. I would definitely recommend getting the Dan Wesson you want as well. You deserve it. Call it self-love to buy it and shoot it ..... 😎 👉 | 👉

You mentioned it’s not a super tactical gun. Okay. It’s the original super tactical gun. What does that even mean? Also, why wouldn’t you practice 1R1s? You don’t plan on reloading it? Don’t downplay the 1911’s abilities. It’s not an 1851 Colt Navy, it’s a modern 1911. Learn to run it and you’ll be surprised.

@@HomeBrycerd so its BS about colts 1911s being JUNK? dude this shit actually happened.even when they had the military contract for the Marines around 2015,16,17 CRACKING FRAMES CHIPPING PAINT and al kinda crazy problems. Then when the military told colt they didn't even try to correct the problems so the military filed a lawsuit against colt then colt filed for bankruptcy a few weeks later.
