I"ve got a K5 in 6.5x57R, a historical caliber. Shooting RWS KS atm, easily under 1MOA groups at a 100m and it handles really well, an overall great piece of kit. This rifle does change the way you hunt.

Nice rifle! Reminds me of American Henry H015 Single shot rifle. The difference between the two is an exposed hammer and cheaper in price. The quality may not be the same, but ithe Henry does have an ejector. Thank you for sharing! Very nice rifle

Yes, a lot of money for a very simple system! I used to own a Thompson Center single shot rifle with 17HMR and 30-30 barrels and that was a sweet little piece

@@rsf5898absolutely. the henry is a cheaply made gun and the merkel is a wonderful piece of art.

I love the idea of these , I would have one in .223 or something purely for fun -muntjac the odd fox .

I have always wanted a kipplauf, my personal choice would be a Blaser K95 Stutzen in 7x57 R (rimmed), but at the price I could not justify, or for that matter afford it, so sad.

It's a European thing, a single shot is not for everyone, but does focus your mind wonderfully, on making the perfect shot and that like any kipplauf system is it's curse and blessing

@@rsf5898 In terms of simplicity yes, but the slower reload has to be considered, as does shooter ability.
