Күн бұрынMost of the tourist visiting Dharamshala come to visit Naddi for sightseeing or for the sunset view but only a few come towards the less explored village of Bal ( or Baal, as on Google Maps ). This little village offers beautiful view of the valley with many cafes located alongside a stream of water flowing right through the middle of the valley.
Only a few people know that this village also acts as a starting point of a trek that takes you to a temple nestled right in the lap of the Dhauladhars. The name of this temple is "Guna Devi Mandir" & the trek is only a couple of kms. The trek takes you through the beautiful village of Bal & through the majestic Kangra Valley towards the mighty Dhauladhar mountains. The legend behind the temple is very interesting & the temple is managed by the locals itself.

Google map shows another by name Guna Mata Temple, which is far from Naddi start point. On thebway to which there is Ghera Waterfall. Can you please confirm which one you are referring to ?

The trek to this temple starts from a village named baal(pronounced बल ). It is 2.5 kms from Naddi. When you reach Naddi there is a temple on the right side “ Mata Nirmala Devi Mandir “ , from the temple a road goes down towards baal village. Instead of searching the temple on maps, search for Naddi river point. From Naddi river point you can start your trek. If you need any other help, feel free to ask me
