I agree, but at the same time I think the Grumps have gotten to wrapped up in "comedic ability" in recent years. What made these old episodes so funny was that they played games exactly how they would if they were just hanging out. Now that theyve become a business, taken comedy classes, and even started touring, it just feels like they try to hard now. Is that bad? No, theyve gotta make a living and they're just trying to make sure they content stays good. But it does come off as ingenuine when you compare it to older videos like this.

Actualy, Dan is someone way more passive at this : he didn't argue about why Arin didn't answer, he didn't annoy the hell out of Arin about it and he let it go the second Arin didn't answer. Mainly because Dan understands that in a versus match, your opponent won't give you instructions (or in this case, Arin) Although I'm pretty sure Dan would happily give out the instructions, he's just that kind of guy. Plus, I'm pretty sure Dan watched the Nickelodeon episode so he won't bother Arin with it.

whatever3132 if it doesn't have !!! points I'm sayin' take it or leave it, newbies can't just jump into that old school animation right from the get go, they gotta work up to it, anyway I watched CCA, Unicorn, 08th, F91 and 0083 way before I got into watching original, and zeta and ZZ are after that so you'd probably want to watch it as a package separately, it's just not something people who are new to the series would be able to stomach, As for wing, to really understand gundam, you really have to experience the universe that Tomino created, the other universe stuff like After war gundam X, Mobile fighter G gundam, New mobile report Gundam wing, all that should be experienced after you understand what tomino was going for so you can see different takes on that vision. Now this is only a primer, I'm not here to tell gundam fans to watch gundam, I'm here to tell people who are new to the series to watch gundam, and it should always be that they experience The best gundam can offer, and hands down that's Universal Century, so much love goes into that timeline, and it certainly should be experienced.

whatever3132 yes but you, much like myself are a big fan of the series, you've already been sold in it as a franchise, someone who isn't into the series will require some persuasion so that's why, in my opinion you start them off with 08th MS team, and let them go from there, marathoning the entire franchise is something you work your way up to, it really can't successfully be done without some investment into the franchise and that's why you start them off with the best stuff.

I, as a late Gundam fan, speaking from MY experience. It's better to get pumped up by watching NON-UC gundam first because some are relatively new (like SEED or 00) and when I got sucked in I went "I guess I'm a noob fan, everyone is talking about UC shit, I should get my shit together!" and spent tons of hours watching UC. The only way I could've watched the 1st Gundam anime is because I was already hooked thanks to newer shows. Thankfuly, Gundam The Origin OVA is on its way. Oh and Turn A Gundam's description to me is and will always be : UNIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERS!!!!

SuperHothead14 Actually it's not really bullshit because Danny, at any point could have simply countered with his own super, blocking Arin's super a la DBZ beam clashing style, thus negating most of the damage. A bit messy with this particular match-up, Zam vs Zam, but you're not 'really' supposed to play the boss characters competitively because they're really weak. With the rest of the cast, Mega Specials can be blocked, and often cases dodged and severely punished if you just throw them out there willy nilly. That's why they're balanced. You should check out my Gundam Battle Assault 2 guide videos if you want to learn more about this game.

berserkchip I can see why the two who can't block or turn around are weak, but how are any of the other bosses weak? Psycho Gundam can block AND can't be stunned or thrown; he's almost impossible to combo. Hydra Gundam is completely immune to block damage from projectiles, can block beam sabers, and otherwise functions like a normal character. Epyon combos like a monster with the moveset they imported from Endless Duel.

Xshu Bastion I suppose I worded my post poorly, when I said boss characters I was referring to Zam and Ziel. Competitively, Psycho and Dark Gundam are flat out banned. Epyon, Rose and DeathScythe are the top three strongest characters in the game, and Hydra's pretty high up there. But Epyon and Hydra aren't banned since they can still be beaten without too much trouble by skillful players. Hydra may be able to block projectiles and unblockables without chip damage, however he's still vulnerable to being crossed up like any other character in the game. Also, Hydra's specials have a few holes in them, making him pretty vulnerable if he uses them. His mega special can especially backfire if the opponent blocks the first hit, because although the last part of it is unblockable, you can dodge it by pressing two buttons, and then Hydra will have to eat a combo. As for Epyon, combos aren't really what makes him super good. His long reach, unblockable super, good range, powerful pressuring tools and his invulnerable 8 way dash is really what makes him dangerous. He can technically phaze through any mega special in the game using his 8 way dash and counter them with a combo if you're fast enough. But like most characters he can be counterpicked, which is why he isn't really bannable, though there were times where we discussed maybe having people who play him reduce their handicap level so he would have less health. This is VASTLY different. first off, Dan wasn't asking for basic controls. He understood how the game works, and won several fights, despite lacking knowledge of the intricacies of the game. Second, and this is the most important, moves are not integral to a fighting games gameplay. Dan only asked how to to a move when he was losing to a character he had been using to win for some time. Jon, however, refused to tell Arin the basic controls of the game that he figured out. Controls that Arin needed to succeed in the game. Vastly different situation, and one of the many reasons I can't stand Jon, in addition to not liking his own content.

I was WAY big into this game a year or so ago, and had some friends on Shoryuken who were interested in the game competitively. (mostly because we happened to be fans of both gundams and fighting games, so like hey, there's a gundam fighting game lets become MLG pro at it lol) But after I finished the play list, I couldn't find anyone locally to make PvP videos with, so I kind of dropped the project.
