Real workmanship, a true artisan. I'm happy that there are still people now that are recreating this style of bowmaking. In Turkey it started too.

I find it amazing how this method of bow making spans across the eurasian continent from korea all the way to easter europe, and across the centuries of time. With only minor variations of style and materials, but construction method always the same even down to the tools they use.

@@hyeongukang2998 very interested but can't understand it. I understand the bow was a very important part of Korean heritage and they made very impressive advances and possible the strongest bows in the world with some of the shortest arrows.

I am an artist sculptor, inventor and great handyman since childhood. A 76 year old grandpa. For months, I have been bothering to cut bamboo blades with a plane and files to make Asian, Turkish, Mongolian arches etc. I won't hide from you that to hand plan a 9mm bamboo blade to arrive at 4 and 5 mm thick, moreover with a change in thickness along its length, it's a hassle. File in one hand and caliper in the other. I don't have a circular saw and an electric planer, damn. I have just bought from a seller of archery equipment in France large (reconstituted bamboo blades 5 cm wide and 1.90m long and 2mm thick.) For the manufacture of several bows for my little ones children and my daughter. the problem is, i'm broke and these bamboo blades cost me an arm even both. Can't find the original manufacturer which I think is from China? "It is not a certainty" I am looking for a distributor and the Asian manufacturer of these large reconstituted bamboo blades. Thank you Why are the handles of Turkish arches the other way around? I can't seem to get a good answer on this topic. ??? Can you help me find this maker? Thank you. Yours truly Patric

Essa tradição fantástica que vocês passam de geração pra geração é muito bonita. É uma pena que aqui no meu país não exista uma tradição bonita assim. Aprendi muito com vocês nesse trabalho, ainda quero fazer o meu arco se Deus permitir. Só não entendi de que parte do animal é feita essa cola transparente, se vocês puderem tirar essa dúvida que eu tenho. Obrigado pelo vídeo, é uma riqueza que a gente aprende. abraço!!

I think i may be wrong. He seems to say " Seo pi" which means marten leather. The master craftsman uses it to make the bow more elegant as ornament.

Turkish bow is bigger and longer than Mongolian bow. Manchu bow is close to Mongolian bow. But bit longer.

All these styles were "stolen" from the Scythian design from over a 1000 years before. Around 900 BC. Not from the Turks. All asiatic cultures have the same basic bow with modifications

@@liamjordan9695 he failed to mention turkish bows are known for flight archery not hitting targets 150m. They also take way longer to craft, glues are not as smart. Hence long drying times, they choose to make bows all year round. Real horn bowyers know winter is time to work.

It’s same kind, which is “horn bow”, a sort of composite bow. But the method mogolian used is different to those.

На 250 метров бьет ))) лук может и слабый , но хлесткий . Легкая стрела или короткая стрела для него супер !!

All modified bow making principle from mongols. Mongols superior lightweight powerfull bow with skilled archer riding horse was secret for their dominant conquest. Later turks used same principle.

복합궁으로 풀칠을 많이 하기때문에 습기에 약한것은 맞지만 대신 엄청난 탄력성으로 인해 엄청난 사거리와 유효 사거리가 늘어 납니다 크기도 작아서 말위 지상 어디서든 간편하게 사용가능 했습니다 그리고 옛날 활중에 손 많이가는 활이 첨단 입니다 지금 시대에도 그건 마찬 가지이구요 첨단 스텔스 전투기만 봐도 그렇죠 장비가 많이 들어 가고 적정 온도에 보관 해야하고 스텔스 도료 주기적으로 칠해줘야 하고
