GUNK FOAMY can be used on various makes and models. My ongoing work on my 2006 Ford Explorer continues this week when I clean the engine bay. I put GUNK Foamy to the test. This engine bay has everything. Leaves and twigs. Mouse and rat droppings. Dust, dirt and grime. Will GUNK Foamy cut through years of neglect? I start by preparing the engine bay by vacuuming. Did u have any horrible smell from the gunk you used i smell mine jus a bit wen i turn on the heater if so will the smell be there forever or does it go away

Yes it is in my opinion. the pad protects the exterior paint from heat, sound deadening yes, and loosely aids sending heat where its needed. Think winter and the snow on the cowl melts faster than the hood. I grew up in the 90's with cars and the paint was peeling off the hood. Those are the reasons I am aware of but dad's rule if it started with it and was probably important because manufacturers are cheap

Totally agree. We have such a problem around here with field mice. They love to chew that stuff up. What I ripped out was just scraps. When I got the Explorer it had sat for a few years.

The original formula is kerosene and diesel and it stinks for a day or two but dissolves all dirt and oil with very little scrubbing needed.

So I live on the East Coast USA and my engine never gets anywhere near this dusty! Your air filters must be completely clogged with dust and dirt after 5k miles.
