Respect to the heart and soul of the band...Izzy was the best song writing partner to Axl. The songs they done together was the most memorable and defining GNR hits. Though the other guys Duff, and Slash and Steven or Matt put on their parts and made it better. Still it wasn't the same GN'R after Izzy left. Like their music creative vision was goin nowhere after Use Your Illusion was recorded. It wasn't easy and as fun record like Appetite. Had Izzy stayed, they could have more hits. Their Chemistry together was unmatched.

The music of today just plain sucks!!!!!!! In all genres. These guys were hungry, wild and raunchy but they got it all in a matter of time. It sadly went away quickly, but they are still here today getting tons of airplay. You cannot say that of the mediocrity of today's music world. Here today, gone tomorrow type artists amongst us today. I hate getting older, but I am a very proud teenager of this era. 80's-90's the very best of everything. Kids today have zero idea what it was like growing up around the talent we had then and still have from them to this day. It will live on forever in the music industry. @@bigmaxy07 I agree to a certain extent I think that it all depends on the mood he was in as far as it was manic or depressive the band members and also the audience they're all major key factors in him playing better sometimes than others. But I have to agree when he first hit the damn stage and blew it the hell up it was a powerhouse to be reckoned with a force that we had never seen before. I'm 60 years old and not quite honestly I'm not ever seen it again. Guns n' roses say what you will but I think you're the best damn rock and roll band that we've seen. You forgot Nirvana ? How the Grunge wave they brought sank rock & roll, GnR altogether ?
@charlesbr76843 жыл бұрын
@@yonslash457 Nirvana was great, so was Pearl Jam and Sound Garden etc... but they didn't sink GNR, GNR just burned themselves out by late 93.... so had Nirvana to be honest. Nirvana had two years of relevance and was as oversaturated at that point as GNR. Nirvana was captivating but they didn't hit anywhere near the chord with people that GNR did. Numbers don't lie, Appetite a debut album had sold over 30 million copies before Nirvana came about and released Nevermind (fantastic album) a sophomore album which has sold 30 million copies over the past 30 years much to do with the younger generations obsession with Kurt Cobain. I'm not sliding them by any means, but at each bands skyrocket to fame and at each's peak they weren't on the same level as GNR. They just weren't, and I say that as a huge fan of both bands, and being completely honest the shock sent through the system by each wasn't close between them. GNR hands down.
