The track reminded me of the times when I was a 17-year-old schoolboy and listened to Guns N' Roses. The CDs were so fucking expensive in my country and my mother couldn't afford to buy even the cheapest player. My elder brother returned after serving in the army and bought a cassette player. Then I discovered their best ballads and once upon a time when I was in the capital of our region I bought "Illusions" and "Appetite". You cannot imagine my happiness when I traveled back home with that precious cassettes. This song brought me back to the time when I was listened to "Illusions" for the first time. Thank you, Axl, Slash, and Duff for these sweet memories. Can't wait to listen to a new album!!!

Feel lucky at 51 to hear this. From the first album they've delivered the goods. Seen em in several tours ,first with Aerosmith to the last being the initial Democracy line up. They always hit Detroit and I always went. Even saw Izzy live with the Ju Ju Hounds. These two "new" remixes on older tunes are the bomb. This may be older ,but thats Slash and that's all that matters.

I can only imagine when he had a next gig and how did he recover. But sure in this recorded version I honestly cant tell difference if he is 20 or 60 in those high pitch screams, thats why I asked if this is AI made or something after I checked the live versions.

@@bogse It sounded good due to distortion and good support, but at points it was evident that his voice wasn't smooth and melodic because he was always out of breath even back then, and singing well takes a lot of efffort, so he slacked to not get tired so easily. Listen to Steve Perry Live, world of difference. Axl was a great showman, but not because of his impeccable singing technique live, that's for sure. This all just became orders of magnitude worse over time, because he never got in shape and his voice lacks support and distortion.

@@jays.3052 yes, Absurd was shit. But I’m seriously convinced it was intentional. I mean, it’s telling us as much in the damn title. And they are not stupid people…they have to know that their first “new” (as far as I’m concerned these are all new when being officially released for the first time) song in 30 years should not be something like My World. They also know that people have been waiting literally generations for this and nothing would actually live up to the hype. So they did it on purpose - completely crush the hype and then anything normal that comes after will be golden.
