to me - the most underrated song on UYI albums. someone tried to say it was garden of eden and i am like are you kidding me?

one of the reasons you cannot understand duff is that is the vocal style he was using. it was intentional. he uses it a lot. i actually love it. it's a little bit of an early punkish style in a way. and he is very into that. this song was an homage to johnny thunders. his chords. one of his big influences.

Axl definitely signs on the album version. He sings the intro, outro and a few of the softer similar lines during the song, but yes the song is Duff's. Duff was an integral part of the band back then, not just a bassist. All the members brought their particular influences to the creative blend of the band as a whole. Axl had his lyrics and unique voice as well as a grandiose style/taste in music, slash heavily partial to blues and it really shows, Duff was a punker, Izzy was laid back and melodic with his guiter style and country sounding. Steven was a punchy drummer. Gilby who replaced Izzy, well it's difficult to say as he was playing Izzy's style for the band but he played it well. Matt who replaced Steven was a technically superior drummer and the band had said before that they did stuff that they couldn't have done with Steven. However, Steven part of the band that made the sound for the AFD album so...

@@naseemakram9807, True, Axl does have a small part in So Fine (on the album version), but he was not the lead vocalist on the song, which is what I meant. Thank you for the correction. When the band features So Fine, Duff sings it, on his own (without Axl). Duff is (not was) an integral part of the band, just like all GnR's members are. I love GnR :)
