@@Cmoth040still $185 for a magnetic rear iron and 1 plate? If they sold just the rear sight for $50 and the plate for $100 that could make sense. But having to pay $185 for each of your pistols is crazy, mine as well get them all cut for $130 each

Slide milling can be done for under 100. You can buy a quality rds compatible postol like cz for that much money. This is insane.

Not really......I don't know about America but I work for an armed cash in transit security company in Australia and in the state I live in armed guards can't have modified handguns without approval from the state firearms registry and it's almost impossible to get approved for things like red dot sights. The guards also aren't legally aloud to use their own firearms, the firearms must belong to the security company and for most companies they are not issued to a specific guard but are instead handed around from guard to guard. This product would allow for the guards to have a red dot that can easily be removed at the end of shift leaving no trace so that the firearms registry is non-the-wiser when they do their inspections provided it works. Whilst this may not have any real place for privately owned firearms I can see how this can fit in for "professional" use firearms.

Great Product that needs some course correction. They should be focused on firearms which didn't originally have optics ready slides. To name a few...Glock 42 (.380), H&K P30, CZ P01/75, Sig 225/226/229, Beretta PX4/92, STEYR A2 M. Also would be great just to purchase the magnetic plate so I can install my preferred optic.

You can buy the kit that comes with their red dot or you can just buy the plate by itself

@@parkerlatour2613 Plate is not currently available and it’s a steep price to pay at $180 dollars when I can get the slide milled for co-witness standard height sights, refinished, and shipped for a similar price but have a rock solid connection.

A lot of people aren't using their brains these days. A magnet loses it's magnetic strength for many reasons, such as elevated extreme heat, just as 1 example. So unless you're a couch potato that never goes outside in the sun/heat, then a $185 magnet is nothing more than a damn money making rip off. Let's not forget about the added heat in the slide, while shooting in the hot weather, think people.

Neodymium magnets never lose their magnetism on their own. And it would take your slide getting to like 600 degrees to fully un magnetize. I had one on my woodburner for a few hours before it fell.

@@mrgoodbar216 Oh. I agree. There are too many quality firearms available now that already come with an optic cut that I wouldn't buy one. This would have been a great product several years ago when the optic cut market wasn't there yet. This could be a solution for someone who has several guns in the same family and wants to be able to move the optic between a G19, G17, and a G45 or something along those lines. $185 to be able to share a $400 or $500 optic between several guns might appeal to some people.

@@KendrasEdge757 meh...I have numerous old Gen3 GLOCKs that don't have any slide cuts and I sure as fuck don't wanna mail them all in and wait several weeks to get them milled. I can buy one magnetic plate and be done with it and swap them onto any gun I want. Worth it imo...now, if you only have one gun you need milled and you don't mind waiting, sure, save $50-$80 and get it milled.
