That rifle looks mighty fine with one exception - that awkward safety. It’s like California-compliant gas cans that generate far more spills than old fashioned cans used by anyone with a functioning brain. Hunters are less likely to use a safety that complicated, and even if they do use it they are more likely to disengage it early just to be ready.

Thanks for the coverage.

It's a copy of Blaser R8 basically. It's not a traditionally safety but a cocking mechanism (it engages/disengages the firing pin/hammer).
@jerrybarbo7952Ай бұрын
Exactly, but at 25% of the Blaser cost.

The breechlock is completely different. It's non like Blaser has invented the straight pull.

Blaser have different mag, differen bolt, differen locking bolt system, different primery extraction system, etc. Only the sam is both gun are stright pull action, and both have rail attachet to barrel.

The Magnum has 16 locking lugs & standard calibres 8 locking lugs , can I buy a 300 Win Mag and have 308 second barreled action regards locking lugs , also Carbon fibre barrel weight difference & finally are they making a 223 barrelled action - one platform for all hunting needs - love it .

I want more info on that magazine adapter. My two issues with the rifle are the proprietary mags and the stock having no adjustable cheek riser. Really wanting to see some aftermarket stocks to start coming out for this rifle system.
@chipsterb4946Ай бұрын
Why not just use SR25 magazines from the start? And yes, an adjustable cheek riser is important.
@kayinvanderkillАй бұрын
@@chipsterb4946 Likely because the modular nature of the platform will allow them to make models accepting other common magazine types, likely AICS but SR25 might happen for a more competition/tactical model. You also need to remember that the BRX1 is only “new” in the US but has been available in Europe as a hunting rifle for awhile, logically it makes sense for it to be introduced as a hunting rifle in the US as well. Lastly, serious hunters prefer magazines that don’t stick out of the rifle. That may even be a hunting requirement in some states.
@chipsterb4946Ай бұрын
@@kayinvanderkill I didn’t realize that this was an established model in Europe. AICS magazines would be fine - just not proprietary. A detachable box magazine is a plus for many rifle shooters, and the deer won’t care where the bullet was stored before it got shot.

@@chipsterb4946 Agreed on the magazines but proprietary parts is a great way for Beretta and other firearm manufacturers to make money after the rifle has been bought. Tikka does the same thing with their magazines. It’s frustrating.

The BRX1 was introduced by the mid of 2022 in Europe. It is a wonderful an reliante gun. The AIVS adaptor seems to be developed for the north american market and is not available in Europe yet.

Scope base would be very questionable. Everything else looks good.

It looks GREAT

I have heard that the barrels are interchangeable from 6.5 to 308 to 300WM. Any truth to that?
@RBMD2AАй бұрын
Very nice. The ergonomics and action should allow quick follow up shots.

Nice, but those are calibers that I can get an AR10 in for about the same money... so there's that.
