Its an S600 coupe (6 litre V12). 500 was a 5.0 V8.

I'm not hating or anything but im 99% sure the stang had a Japanese transmission in it being that at 0:14 she drops the car into what looks to be second gear and I know the in some Japanese car you put it in the about same area to put it into reverse.

The fact that you can tell they're driving north on the Dan Ryan expressway is the best part, and the music is perfect for the series! Jazz-Blues fusion rock with loud, hearty brass and saxophone, a true Chicago style in the 80s, though it needs less 80s synth and more gospel organ to give it that extra Blues Brothers sound. Wish I could find some of the tracks though, can't find a soundtrack for this anime anywhere.

Well I'd tell you that vehicles from General Motors, they don't mess around. But I do love the 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang though because it's the most perfect muscle car for a bounty hunter. :)

The ONLY two parts that took me out of it were the Ferrari 308 that almost flipped and the angle with which May leaps from the Merc to the Stang, the latter because I am really not sure of how old she is supposed to be.

Otherwise WOW. The animation, the sound design, the 90s style rock in the background, it all works so well. Especially the drawn animation, which is almost as good as in Lupin III, when I saw the thumbnail I'd expected it to be more like in Ex Driver and let's be honest it was pretty shit in that.

Reminds me of Tokyo Drift’s Mustang, similar concept at least. Instead of an American Film with Japanese Heart, it’s a Japanese Film with American Heart.

One of my all time fave anime/manga. The music is awesome, but once for the hell of it, I cued up Joe Satrinai' s "Motorcycle Rider" from " The Extremist" to play along during the chase. The crazy part was, for the 1st half of the song, it fit really well. Sadly the song s longer than the chase so it loses synch. Maybe someday I 'll edit it right😋. My method. Turn down tv audio. Cue song up on CD stereo. Hold it in pause. Watch when headlights blink. 3rd blink, unpause CD player. Let r rip, and crank to 11. Just something for fun. The original music rocks.

Besides a couple of dragon ball z episodes, this was the first and only ova I ever bought. I saw this on cable when I was like 12 and I was hooked on the car and made me love it. Made me think of It now I have to find where I put this and rewatch it

I love LOVE this Anime but the song they picked for both the opening and this part could have been better. I would have used ZZ Tops' "Gun Love" for the opening, lets face it its almost like it was meant for this. For this part "Tank!" ie Cowboy Beebop theme song the full one, just start it when she says start the music at works completely all the way to the end. It's chillingly good.

I made sure to customize the Shelby GT500 from NFS Carbon to match the design of the Anime Version. I did my best with the Blue Paint, and I’m not sure how to match the Tires in the game. I’m don’t know about the Performance tho.

Crazy I’m from illinois. South region and this is definitely different from how illinois is. Guns are like impossible to own here and nice vehicles like that are non existent pretty much and I never been to Chicago but I heard the roads and buildings in the entire region is awful and ruined.

I sometimes wonder why 95% of modern (last 15-20 years) anime sucks. Then I take a look at series like Gunsmith Cats, Dragon Ball or Berserk. Great animation, good music, cool characters. Ok guys, f*ck it, I'm goin' back to the 80s. Who's commin' with me? ;p

I think the modern stuffs crap because they want to play it safe now a days and only make what they know will sell and unfortunately now a days it seems to be nerds getting stuck in fantasy worlds or helium inhaling bimbos...

This is an OVA. the animation was done without a weekly TV deadline that needed to be met, so higher quality, nor TV broadcast regulations so content could be more risqué. Your problem is that most of the anime you know of today are aired on japanese TV. You'll have to go out of your way to find ovas if you want anime with more bite to it. (Like the difference between the princess lover TV series, which was generic harem, and it's ova, which was straight up hentai)

I don’t think that transmission had reverse in that particular gear position. It looked like they shifted in 2nd gear instead of reverse.

Idk, assuming this takes place in 95-96 that has to be a brand new S600, it’s 6L V12 puts out almost 400 horsepower while the Shelby’s 428CI w/ twin four barrels made around 355 horsepower. It’s a tossup, especially since it’s more of a chase than a race, the Shelby’s suspension and lack of abs isn’t to its advantage

@@nikobellic2515 the difference is in the driver, IIRC may is the second best driver in the series, behind only Ridding bean... (and even he was impressed by her driving).
