Putting a red dot on it is pretty cool. I wouldn't imagine a suppressor being all that effective on a revolver. The safety is actually fine on a rig like this, you're clearly not wanting an authentic cowboy gun if you're trickling up this thing.

I appreciate the fact that you put an affordable optic on an affordable firearm. When I see videos with people putting 350 dollar optics on a 300 dollar firearm, it’s just not realistic for the average buyer of the 300 dollar gun. Thanks for the fun video!

It's funny when I started Looking into cowboy shooting I thought loading just 5 was nonsense or stupid. Now it's just natural. I shoot almost everything in 5. 5 in revolvers 5 in mags for my 1911 or anything I practice shoot with. Lol it just sticks with you

Red dot on the 16” barrel model might turn it into a quasi survival gun for small game.

The people who don't like the safety just don't know how to use one and have been told by "experts" that safeties break a lot and will make your firearm malfunction. Just don't engage the safety if you don't like it or don't know how to use it. Duh! Thanx for the review Dustin.

Actually I think the safety was a good idea

I have to admit my first reaction was….ABOMINATION! Never cared for the Rough Rider with the safety. But this has taken it to new heights. Picatinny rail! Threaded muzzle! (Did they forget the cylinder gap?). I could live with the fiber optic front sight. But the rest…..well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Glad you seem to like it.

With a red dot this would be a fun handgun for small game hunting. I had one that I killed 4 red squirrels on 1 clynder with the basic version .

Got lucky and found one for sale at Palmetto. Snapped it up. It may be sort of abomination but it’s a cool one. Will go great with my classic edition.

Holy Cow! I can not imagine any Cowboy who would NOT want a Red Dot sight on his 6 Shooter. Only a low down Back Shooter would want a suppressor on his Smoke Wagon. I purchased a " Johnny Boy " model Rough Rider last year. I love the balance and look of mine.

It makes sense that you load 5, and leave the empty chamber. Especially since you appear to leave the safety on red. I also load 5, but I don't load with safety off on my Rough Rider. I also have a couple other SAA revolvers that don't have a safety, but it doesn't bother me that they don't. I guess I'm a little weird.

I like the idea of the safety. Those who don't typically don't deal with accidents, litigation and frankly the aftermath of unanticipated results. If you don't like the safety guess what, don't buy the gun. It's a smart move on a company's behalf to reduce their liability. And for those who deal with such issues let me remind you Glock had experienced a number of issues with their firearms. Product litigation is expensive but more to the point a product's failure can be traumatic to innocent victims or bystanders.

Seems like a fun toy, might be good for a small game backup gun :)

Hi Dustin. An Inland PM-22 suppressor is what I am going to try when I get my Tactical. You need to get one. A little over $400 total (can and stamp) it cuts the noise of my Henry. 22 mag down to a regular. 22 lr.

Lots of fun in this video! Two things, one, if you can find a Linear Comp, it seems to direct the sound and muzzle blast to the front. Second do you think a red dot with a shorter foot print might be easier to cock the gun? Thanks again!

Like my buddy, Sledge Hammer, I prefer to have a " Loudener " on the end of my barrel.

I definitely can't wait to see videos of it suppressed. I don't think it will work well but I've never seen it tried either. Hopefully someone gets some hard data up soon. Maybe it works better than we think

I don't trust any company that panders to the lawyer (read as professional liar) class in America. But my daughter loves her Rough Rider.

They should have gone all the way and placed two more rails on the barrel so you can add a laser and flashlight.

I wish mine was fun it misfireed 3 of 6 straight out of box...60+ of 100 using federal bulk ammo....but cci only 7 out of 100.. .but I want to shoot cheap ammo so I can shoot more. Henry rifle fired all 100. There any way to maybe shim the hammer spring to make it hit harder so it'll actually shoot?

Revolvers typically can't use suppressiors unless it is a mosen nagant that will be for a mussel brake

What material is the pic rail made from? To be specific, is it plastic or metal?

I have bought a used 37 caliber pistol. I tried to fire it with 1 chamber loaded nothing happened. So I put caps on all cylinders and then tried again. I then took all apart and cleaned every little hole in back of chamber with one still loaded. And still it won't fire. I had purchased it from Greentop sporting so I figured I was safe. What do I do now to actually be able to fire this pistol?
