Check out this thing called a TsuRag. It's a du-rag without the strings. Uses Velcro straps. No headaches. It was a great investment when I had waves. 360 Jeezy put me on.

Your durag is tied too tight that’s why it hurts like that if you tie it tight enough so it doesn’t come off then your head won’t hurt so much SB : silkies are better 👌🏾

My thoughts is alot of men try to go with what is in or what women like, however I believe that some people should have waves because it's an overall look that fit's them better and some should have dreads because it's an overall look that fits them better, or scurl but that style always seems to be inconsistent when it comes to managing it. I think based on your head shape frame complexion most should pick one that best suits them because I often see people get dreads that absolutely don't fit them just because it's trending and vice versa with waves or scurls, or long hair pony tails or braids. Pick what's most manageable and makes you most attractive overall

Suggestions: 1. Silky Durag with wide straps, make sure to flatten the straps on your head when using (Ex. RedByKiss durag, Dream Deluxe Durag, UrbanWaveNYC, or OceanViewsBeauty) 2. TsuRags. Easy to do every night, made with a Velcro strap (recommend to get multiple, Incase the Velcro wears out) 3. Monsoon cap. Simply a cap you wear on your head. Really comfortable and easy to use I recommend always wearing a compression cap on top of your Durag. Also, always having extra Durags, etc. For when you’re cleaning them

Bro...waves are so played out man, been there done that, they have a brush that does it pretty easy. It's difficult for many to grow their hair to a certain length, and takes alot of patience and maintenance. Genetics plays a big role as well

Naw waves are pretty hard to get to its takes a lot of motivation to brush your hair every day and keep your waves spinning and remembering to put that durag on every night before sleep and making sure that crown work is okay and making sure you have no forks in your waves so especially if your start waves with your hair short it’s takes patience to get those waves in to so in my opinion waves are better for me as of right now in my opinion. Both are good
