God is always with us, but we are unable to perceive Him through our senses.
To experience Him, we need to transcend the realm of the senses.
As far as the ordinary person is concerned, this isn’t easy.
That’s why God has to take a form as a Guru perceivable by the five senses.
It's not possible to look straight at the blazing sun with naked eyes. But the moon reflects the same sunlight and transforms it into soothing soft moonlight. Like that, the Guru reflects God's qualities and makes them experienceable.
