Insistindo? Lepri acabou de ser campeão mundial (de novo), e antes dessa luta derrotou kaynan Duarte, campeão tanto no Mundial quanto no adcc pesando quase 20kg a mais que o Lucas... E não, Gustavo é algumas categorias acima do Lucas, mas não tenho certeza do peso dele.

Lucas had already had three or four absolute matches at this point. Fresh this would have been a lot different.

At 3:19 Gustavo slowly sneaky his shin into Lucas guard AND helps Lucas legs to close the half guard so that he can try pass the guard again and gains the points.

most people dont realize, but on top of being extremely technical and heavier than lucas, gustavo is also a southpaw so he probably made lucas very confused by passing to his "weak side"

Being left handed doesn’t matter that much tbh. I’m southpaw myself, it’s mostly about drilling and training to pass the “weak side”

Lepri also sustained a pretty serious knee injury before or during the Euros. That being said I think Batista (and all other competitors) came in with some type of injuries.

Nope. He's heavier and, paired with good technique, it's easier to keep balance. Lepri is on another level though.

Kyle Hines Yes agree. I only train in the gi. I do enjoy it but man as a spectator its tuff to watch. Big fan of Lucas, I have trained with him in the past. No disrespect to him.

Only a well trained eye can fully appreciate what is taking place here. The nuances of technique involved here is nothing short of mastery.
