Guts and Blackpowder is one of the only few games that has NPCs fight back and have personality. It is so unique.

Something i love about this game is how depressing and realistic it is. I know it sounds weird but like you can tell that the characters are like confused and afraid of the zombies. The sad part kind of makes it more immersive as this is basically the end of the world to them.

Fun Fact: Blucher was the one who led the Prussian armies who - if they weren't interrupted by the zombies - would defeat Napoleon at the battle of Waterloo with the help of the Duke of Wellington and a Nassau army. Pretty cool, but saddening that Blucher turns into a zombie.

When I first tried Guts and black powder i thought it was just a game about zombies during those time periods and thats it I wasn’t even aware of a storyline. Probably because it was the first and last time I played it

I love how the Catachombes de Paris map really matches with the Overture 1812 piece. Literally, the bell rings at exactly the same time as it should in the irl piece and even the cannons. Such care of details really show how hardly the developers spended on their work.

The bridge blowing up in Leipzig is a real reference to the real battle as a French corporal lit the fuse to early as he saw approaching coalition troops and French soldiers were still crossing and the bridge was blown up stranding nearly 30000 men who surrendered the next day and some drowned as the bridge blew up

the G&B devs should make a New Orleans map when you spawn at the rooftops of the french quarter and once you do objectives, you will meet an American steamboat vessel sailor and his other crew members and you would be given an objective to defend his ship as he tries to get it working and marcus’s crew members will be able to move around and shoot and melee the zombies to assist the survivors but they can be vulnerable by getting attacked by a zombie and turn into a zombie if nobody is around to help them. Once the sailor is finally finished getting the boat to work he will shout the remaining survivors at the docks to get on the boat then once the survivors board the boat, he will sail off the port.

For the HMS Undaunted in Vardo, the one with the musket on the ship shot a bomber killing me. It wasn’t a player, the bullet was in the air.
