Those who read the manga and know wheere to story goes might in fact get a lot more out of this video. Unfortunately there has not been any good adaptation after 1997 Golden Age Arc anime yet. Hope you enjoy this one anyway.

As a man who has had huge disadvantages levied against him in life, who has truly been at the bottom of the abyss of despair, who rose to heights unimaginable, who then went on to build a better world around him, who can now truly stand in the front, I want you to know, that the only limits that exist are those you place upon yourself. Whatever you work hard for, you will have, without talent, without intelligence, without strength, because it is not those things that make you unbeatable, or a champion, it is pure will. The man who gets up last, is the one who wins. You can do it. You can suffer, you can live, and you can be great. You will do it, because no one else can be you.

Marcus Aurelius said have it in your mind to retreat to in order to reset yourself. Seneca said we can travel back in time with our memory and the writings passed down to us. So, that we can spend time and be with the great philosophers and train and fortify our souls. One day, you won't need it, because it'll be in your heart and mind, etched in permanently.

This combines two of my favorite things into one. The university professor's talk about Stoicism is one of the greatest talks about Stoicism I've ever heard, and Berserk is the greatest form of art I've ever seen. When they are played together, it becomes clear that Guts is the representation of Stoicism in Berserk. He's always working, always striving to become better, always focused on his duty, always deals with the difficulties that challenge him in life, never complains to anyone about them, and always does what is morally right in accordance to nature and his fellow human beings. At least, that was the case in the Golden Age.

I am very grateful with the person who made this video. I am in the most difficult part of my life. Lonely. I am in a work i don't like. Without money, without opportunities in an difficult country. Suffering without help, without family or friends. The only person who I love, has to go to other country to search for an economic opportunity. Each day I wake up, I feel like I dig my grave. It feels to be in the abyss. I don't know my purpose. I don't know why I continue in life. However. Guts suffer, more than any men and he did not give up. I will not give up. I will transcend my pain. Thank you everyone one who reads this. We will stay awake, we have the ability to go further.

Oh man. A whole 15 from the Grave. I move people for a living. And having things like this to listen to while I carry weight on my back willingly is a learning and growing experience like no other. It's something so simple to earn a living from while also helping people move on to a new journey in their life by leaving old homes for new ones. It makes the end of every day like I have done a good for someone while also traveling and seeing as many things and people as I can every single day to learn about every bit of what the universe offers to discover, instead of sitting home and stagnating. Learning only from the accounts of others than have been places I may never have. This is next level motivation through communication from others.

Honestly I revisit this every 2 weeks or so and it usually gives me the strength to keep going and a reminder to continue not to stoop to the level of others who provoke you to do something youd regret. One thing that I will say though is you shouldnt reject your own negative feelings you just need to channel them in a healthy way, its helped me get better at releasing a lot of tension. If anything I now only get sad for others rather than myself, it wont be perfect but in most scenarios you can genuinely avoid pitying yourself. There is very little that cant be conquered by the mind if you train it, its taken me months to realize this but Im glad stuff like Berserk gives me the inspiration to never let up and not let the best of you harm others.

Today was a day where I could spare some free time and this video was suggested to me, a sign from the gods that I am on the right track and just need to keep going. Was with it till the bit about crying. If you read about Marcus Aurelius, he was an intensely caring human being who was very much in touch with his feelings (which crying is a natural part of). The difference with the stoic is training your mind to not let your feelings turn into emotions that dictate your actions. To be able to feel and not get carried away.

This video was my first exposure to stoicism. Since then I have dove head first into many of the classical philosophers. Soaking in everything I could. It has truly changed my life. I found this video at around my lowest point, depressed anxious, having no purpose. Wanting to end it all. But through these lessons I persevered. The things talked about in this video resonated with me. It reminded me of who I was before the storm in my life occurred. I had already embodied many of these traits. I just needed a reminder. I come back to this video every so often. Each time with more and more knowledge on the subject. And I appreciate it even more each time I do. Stoicism is for everyone. It is the ultimate tool box for one to take what they require from. Thank you for what you did for me.

This is my favorite channel right now. I was stuck in life and making bad decisions and stoicism helped me build into someone better. I recently gave that up and have been lost without it. Berserk is one of my favorite stories, thank you for making this.

10:00 a hidden message is shown here that a “monster” doesn’t need to be based off of physical appearance. That beast of a creature could have its own moral code it follows, meanwhile next scene shows an every day human, Clearly corrupted and committing “monstrous” deeds to another one of his own species. In other words, don’t judge a book by its cover ;)

Never caught that. Indeed, the humans were more of a monster than the terrifying beast itself. Weird because that’s always been my favorite part of the video. Thank you!

Thank you kind sir, for putting this video together. Sometimes I need reminders like this. My heart may ache but I control only myself. I thought I found Casca but no, not yet. Must simply keep moving and fighting til then.
