Gutting A School Bus Dash and Hoping All The Plastic Parts Go Back Together

Finishing up the dash area in Ivan and installing the newly covered driver seat. The dash area has been a hard project since I had to work around all the wiring and curves of the plastic. Dale is also In this video and gets the airstream gutted for me.

I’m sure I am way behind with your filming but I would suggest that you put some sound reduction/insulation on the back of your cup holder/ball carrier you made.

The engine cover currently there has the heat and sound shelf mild built in. I am just replacing the plastic cut holder casing.

Love the engine cover, question, did you put any heat shield stuff on the back or in the dog house? If not, how hot is it getting?

It has insulation on the factory engine cover. The one I build replaced the plastic one we ripped out a while ago.

Since you made that cabinet beside the wheel, you could make a round hole on the top to work as a cup holder. Simply putting a cup on top of a surface on a movable vehicle is not such a good idea...

I took the bottom spring apart and replaced it for the recliner part. The cushions I matched on an eBay posting. I was a little unsure at first but they were great.

I am selling it because from 2019 till now my life has changed a lot and I won’t use this bus the way I intended. I figure I don’t need two buses to just sit around. I am moving back into Navi and we will be hitting the road for the winter.

Table saw: push the cut piece ALL the way beyond the spinning blade. It doesnt take much for it to bind between the fence and blade and kickback. Save your fingers for the ladies
