Phil's gutturals are really quiet even while using a mic. Alex don't need a mic, and he'll still be loud as a grizzly bear. Alex might not be Deathcore God bc of his limited vocal range, but he def is the god of extreme guttural.

Phil has the advantage of over a decade of experience, so I think he's more techniqued. However, Dan has improved a ton since the IA days, and is now on Phil's level IMO. As for Dickie, he's really good but he plays the mic. Phil and Dan have the real power behind their vocals that Dickie can't touch. He's got insane range and some really unique sounds, but it's a lot more quiet and dependent on compression to get it to sit right in the mix.

Friendly Deko​ I've always considered Dickie to be the most like "extreme" deathcore vocalist since around 2014. Sure Dan is just amazing (Im not too big a fan of EE Dan his vocals have changed alot for the worst imo) and he beats Dickie in many areas, but Dickie has always just been a monster that can do things nobody else can. Phil isn't bad at all but he has deteriorated alot in recent years, he cant maintain what he once did hence the mostly mids now. He was never a vocalist focused on highs.

@Gavin Sunderland vocal cords are involved in frys, that’s why you hear the clean note underneath the distortion (ie they are pitched). The amount of the clean tone vs whisper-like white noise can be different, producing various colors. Ie super pitched like Meshuggah vs less pitched like Currents
