I adopted one that won my heart over (I was going for a small dog and got him instead) and he’s the best boy ever. He raised my two cats and my puppy mini dachshund and I love him to death. I wish I had him as a puppy though cuz he was used for fighting so he’s very uncomfortable around big dogs that he doesn’t know and it breaks my heart.

My family adopted one, she's the most affectionate thing I've ever known. She's ridiculously muscley and tough as nails but she'll lick me to death before trying to bite.

Pitbulls are dangerous fighting dogs that kill hundreds of people a year. They should all be sterilised and exterminated.

Well that was heartwarming. Needed to see this. That first dog was so adorable. I wish I lived on the East Coast - I would hop in a car right now and go adopt him. But I hope every one of these angels finds a home. Just to add - The Dodo has done so much good for the reputation of Pitties... showing just how loving and sweet they really are.

A soft plushie toy brightens every dogs day!! What great reactions. Cats, more reserved but usually just the paper, bag, or food treats gets them every time.

Dogs appreciate toys, wrapping paper not so much. But in my experience working in volunteering and rescue more than toys your time is needed. You might end up like me and just start out volunteering walking the dogs and then making it your full-time vocation. But, even a couple of hours a week is needed. Dogs and shelters are often stressed by the confined space and even more so, the noise of other barking dogs. If you have time and can, please consider registering to walk the dogs, to get them out of their pens. Anything you can do will help. Thank you.

~ Exactly, that's what I do in my country of Oz. It's not much for us to do but it means the world to the kiddo's also makes me feel good too. I think the cats prefer the wrapping best, as is usually the way!🐾💕

I think seeing dogs get Christmas gifts is probably my favorite thing ever. Especially when they are shelter dogs. Seeing dogs happy with their new toys just makes me smile every time! 🥰

Great idea to get gifts for the animals in the shelter. You can see the dogs got so much joy off the stuff animals. I could see how happy they were and wanted to play. I felt it made them remember when they had a home and were given gifts like these. Cats only wanted comfy items. Excellent way to bring joy back into the hearts of animals.

All beautiful and gentle loving furbabies. Yes, it's a bit of a myth about rabbits and carrots. My darling ones always preferred the leafs of the carrot. I ended up with so many carrots in the fridge just so they could eat the tops. I'm not a big fan of carrots. 🤭🤣
