You can tell that his spirit was broken a bit at first,but not gone completely, as he was obviously interested in these people. Glad he found a good connection with their son, which helped him become part of the family.

I think... A dog wants to love somebody (not the other way around.) His previous human violated that interactional norm so the dog was heart broken and afraid of trying again. Noah healed that wound.

I've never seen a dog so timid before. Buddy looked like he was trying to blend in with the ground. And he remained motionless, so nobody would see or hurt him. Wonderful to see these folks' love FREE Buddy from his fear and help him to enjoy life with his new family!

I have seen this behaviour once and it definitely is coming from mistreatment, abuse by the person who had him. I am happy his life turned a corner for the better!

My dad adopted a dog that was like that. Strangley enough, she had been severely abused by a few men. However, my dad was so great with all animals and knew exactly what she needed to come out of her shell. I still have her ashes to this day (after 15 years). My dad taught me so much about animals. I wish I could help them all.

@@HyokKim-ge3joYou have the WRONG idea about dogs. Many abused dogs are too broken to be aggressive, its HORRIFIC. Makes me wonder why you think this way? Have you had a personal experience with a dog being aggressive because of abuse?

Seeing any dog hesitant and scared is heartbreaking. They are like hoping with all their heart that you are a good kind person. When it works out great but oftentimes they’re met by disgusting humans. So glad this time he found a loving awesome loving family!!

It makes me think of how all the poor piggies must feel in the factory farms...pigs are smarter than dogs and are very sensitive. It really breaks my heart that we have so much compassion for "pet animals" but so little for "food animals."

I still find it terrible so many animals especially pets that are being left and abandoned or dumped off at these over crowded shelters......this was truly a blessing for you and your family. What a wonderful, heartwarming story for this sad, lonely dog. He was so scared at first, it was like he was trying to glue himself to the floor and make himself as small as he possibly could. It took him time to realize that he had finallyfound a truly loving family, but love and time healed his broken spirit. Thank you to this wonderful, loving family for opening their hearts to another dog needing and longing for lots of TLC. You guys are truly awesome!💕👍🦮💖💛🫶
