Mark you are very Blessed By God and I Love watching you because you cheer me up when I am down and out, Thank You, I lost my Mom October 26 2009 Lost My Husband October 4 th 2010 And I lost my son March 6 th 2011 and during this time I got cancer had 29 treatments, God healed me I am so Thankful, but I would have traded places with either one of them, know Insurance God carried me through everything, I watch the Gaither for along time, I Really love you All . This is so funny. I was on Sounds of Liberty when Guy Penrod came on the team. We had no idea he was already on. He auditioned like everyone else. (Guy - I was sitting by Lois during your "audition"; you sang; we looked at each other and Lois said, "Can you believe that voice?".) Anyway, we were happy to have you, of course. Many wonderful memories from those days.

I always enjoy Mark. Something I learned I will share is: Grace is unmerited favor. Mercy is the withholding of merited judgment.

I was at liberty during these times they were talking about. I met Mark because he was the son of my dorm parents the lowrys. Guy was in a dorm close to mine and he was hard to miss walking around ... so tall! I love seeing these folks! 💁🏻💕

Everytime i hear Guy Penrod sings i can feel the annointing from God, I can feel the love and grace of God through his songs, it makes my eyes break in tears...every lyrics every word is godly and pure. God bless this man and his 8 kids and his wife. I praise the Lord for such a man like him...a very good role model.

Eight days before our son’s wedding, he came by the house to talk to me. His tone of voice and his face were very serious. He sat down on the sofa across from me and looked down at the floor for a few seconds, then when he looked up at me, he had both a smile on his face and tears in his eyes, then he told me exactly why he came to see me. My son, he wanted to thank me for always loving him and his siblings, even when he behaved badly growing up. He told me, “Mama, you taught us about Jesus, not just through your words, but also in your actions. When we would misbehave, you would always ask us why we were in trouble, because we have been raised knowing right from wrong. You loved us enough to not allow us to get away with anything. I did not like it growing up, but I am thankful to The Lord today and I wanted to let you, and also that I love you Mama”. He came over to me and hugged the stuffing out of me😊. wado,Ann Benson.

Love the way you presented that scripture! I am a born again baptist that's been washed in the Holy Spirit too so that makes me a kind of "Bapticostal". :) But when the DEACONS heard of me CASTING OUT DEMONS and LAYING HANDS ON THE SICK AND SEEING THEM RECOVER- that goes against the cessation theology we are sadly steeped in and they barred me from preaching in the pulpit. I could stay, just not speak my "deception" (they earnestly love me and earnestly feel I'm deceived and can't let it spread). God forbid they see blind eyes open like I have WITNESSED and see the deaf ears open, arthritis go, new knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, etc. just to name a few. If I'm deceived I will hang on tight to it cause I am seeing people HEALED and seeing them set free from ADDICTION, MOLESTATION, MURDER, RAPE, UNFORGIVENESS, BITTERNESS, RAGE....and more! :) I am a turnt out one and Jesus is exploded in my life!

Thank you for a good show Mark....so interesting to hear candid conversation from those who have filled our homes with good music. I appreciate and think I understand the point Guy Penrod was making. In my profession, I encounter death bed scenes. Taking off mortality is hard work regardless of the eternal destination. It is clear from my perspective that there is a place....a "Home of the Soul".....Heaven, a place of wonder far greater than anything our minds can imagine and Hell, a place where the worm does not die, the thirst is not quenched and darkness is filled with weeping and wailing. I have witnessed hair raising scenes of pain, despair and fear and I have observed tender moments of passing filled with anticipation, hope and promise. I believe the answer to Guy's question lies in the realities I witness.When the last word has been spoken and the soul is fighting to "break through the bars of clay", all philosophical and theological questions are GONE....the veil is lifted and that soul experiences REALITY. Those standing around the room are impacted by the reaction but are prohibited from truly understanding the fulfillment that shrouds the soul with chilling fear or realized ecstasy . Witnessing the process, leaves me convinced, that all theological mystery can be boiled down to one question; "Has the Blood been applied?". So, my answer to the question Guy was asking is, yes, Jesus, the Promise of the Old Testament, made a way of escape from the type and shadow of the OT curses and offers eternal blessings if we accept His NT gift! Whoever believes on His name, confesses and repents of sins, and turns from living a life of sins, will inherit eternal blessing; HEAVEN!!. To reject, compromise, or negotiate Biblical instruction for holy living, and fail to repent of such, is to reject His plan. The failure to repent leads to eternal curse. The gift of Salvation was purchased through His blood and to willfully live a life of sin is to say, "no thank you" to the Gift and blessing. ....Evie used to sing about it, " The years so quickly pass you by, the shadows begin to fall, you tried to live your life as best you could, yes you did, but what does it profit any man, even if he gain the world, and in the end he loses his own soul?.....at the River of Jordan you're alone, at the River you leave it all behind, friends can't help or ease your pain all your riches are in vain, at the River of Jordan you're alone". Alone, we will each face the crossing from this life to the next and our decision and choices will result in the gift bequeathed; eternal inheritance of curses or blessings. When or where or under what circumstances we accept the gift matters not....we all know the story of the thief who uttered his final plea at the last possible moment......all that matter is that the blood from the spotless Lamb has been applied!. Precious HOPE! The song Guy chose to sing is the sum of the matter,,,,"And sinners plunge beneath that flood, lose all their guilty stains"!

I am forgiving some people who feel they are better than you. A few years ago. One of my times were hard. Yes I looked like a street person. No one knew me or what was going on with me. Was up alright went to church, yes the priest knew me and welcomed there. He knew what was going with me but the other people didn’t know and they shunned me. Seriously they actually put me in the corner. One lady saw how they were towards me and came over to me nicely to help. But I’ll never forget how I was shunned by other people who felt their were better than anyone. God does not feel that way . So others shouldn’t . Please remind everyone we are equal. Not in looks, money or others ways but equal with his love. I’m just so glad God has always been with me. Also I’m glad to see you on my iPad. Bless you Mark.

Great conversation about blessings and curses and the WHOLE Word of our Father! After all, He gave us His Loving Instructions...His Codes of Wisdom, NOT to be harsh, but to BENEFIT us, His Children, because He has our best interest and He knows our human nature will get us in trouble. When we walk with Him, we want to please Him and know what is important to Him! And that includes His Name. Hallowed be His Name, YHWH, the Name He gave His Son, our Master, the Messiah, Yahshua/Jesus. (John Chapter 17). Praise His Mighty Name, the Name Yahshua came to reveal! ☺️☺️. Perfect verse you gave, Mark..."If my people, who are called by MY NAME"...what Name? YHWH! HalleluYah!!

Although I am now in the 1st Southern Baptist Church, I was raised in the A/G Church. God's Word says to work out your own salvation, which I believe means in all things of your life. While some may have addictions of one type they need to repent of, I have addictions of another type that I need to repent of. And God may speak to your spirit about something He wants you to do, while speaking to me (or my spirit) about something else He wants me to do. Some may believe one thing one way, & some may believe it a whole other way. What we do need to do is have true Godly love for our fellow man/lady & try to help them out with whatever they need. AND, we NEED to get back to the basics of The Word & share it❣

My kids have said that when they picture Jesus, He has eyes like Guy Penrod's eyes.
