Guy Sebastian. The first winner of Australian Idol. I could tell from the first time I heard him that he would win. From memory the first song he sang was Stevie Wonder's Ribbon in the Sky. He had a fairly impressive Afro hairstyle going on at the time and they referred to him as the Bro with the Fro. The Temptations also covered Who's Loving You (David Ruffin), but Michael Jackson as a child blew them out of the water.

Its soooooo awesome seeing American's, and other countries here, enjoying and appreciating our Aussie talent. We Aussies have loved these performers for years, and it's so nice sharing what we have, with the rest of the world. Our Aussie talent shouldn't be JUST ours, their music belongs to everyone and anyone who wants to listen and enjoy. So proud of our Aussie artists
