When I was a child we had a Maine Coon Cat That Came To Us during a hurricane so we let him in he was a really great cat one time I saw him jump straight up in the air like 3 and 1/2 foot lashing out with both Paws and he caught a blue jay that was pretty cool and one time I found a dead baby goat in the yard there's no goat farms anywhere around where I live somehow my cat managed to track kill and bring back a dead baby goat I don't know how that happened I can't explain it

I honestly never realized how much my cat liked me until I started dating my boyfriend at the time. She would always try to get between us when we’d lay in bed together.

One of my kitties has a tablet. It was an old one I wasn't using and he got used to watching cattv so I had to give him his own so I could watch what I want to every once in a while. He watches cattv and music videos.

How many old phones and tablets have you got just sitting about? They add up.

with cats you have to pay attention to how they communicate with you so you can "speak" their language and build a loving and trusting relationship. with dogs you just have to give them the occasional pet and treat and because they've been bred for loyalty, they'll do whatever you want them to do! they're simpler creatures, a good entry level companion if you're looking for something to love you, no questions asked. cats require more effort if you're looking for the same kind of bond as each cat has their own personality, so while one doesn't mind being held like a baby, another would probably end up clawing your arms to ribbons! (like how many times have you seen a dog person try to treat or handle a cat like they would any dog, only to complain or get upset when the cat "suddenly" attacks them?) when you consider all of that, it makes sense that men who adore cats and are adored in return would have a certain appeal. it usually speaks of a person who's patient, understanding, and respectful of their loved ones! or maybe i'm just biased because my partner is a cat man and he's one of the sweetest and most compassionate men i've had the privilege of knowing. ☺️

Dogs are more affectionate because they are more social while cats are solitary but they do show affection especially to each other. My cats are siblings and they will often snuggle up together and lick each other on the forehead but I wouldn’t go to say they are affectionate naturally because like I said earlier they are solitary animals usually and very territorial my cats will hiss at any neighbour hood cat that comes near their cat flap especially my smaller but wilder cat Bonnie who is very territorial sometimes with her brother (only when he is annoying her).

For any dog breed out there, they will need an amount of training and will require an amount of money for that, you just have to be willing.

He is my shadow,he is always by my side,watches tv with me,come to bed with me and so affectionate.i spoil him so much- he’s treated like a king,and he gives me plenty of love,as I give him. One of my cats does that. She wants to share my pillow and sleeps partially on me. She has a disability and I have looked after her since she was born. She lost one of her back paws when she was just a few days old. She nearly died but she is a fighter. I have had her mother since before she was 6 weeks old because her mother rejected her litter. She is affectionate, but doesn't like to be held. She is almost 4 and is only just now looking me in the eyes. She and her daughter act like siblings now.

My cats doesn't get angry when I rub their tummy... What can I expect from a cat who will sneak onto my side and sleep on my neck, chest, armpits or stomach. 😅

I have a persian cat and they are just like that very slow and calm and you can prep them in a bed or on your chest and they will stay as long as they are comfortable and not hot.

If your cat swipes at you, its likely more to do with your behavior than the cat's. Some cats don't tolerate it, but a healthy cat with an owner who knows how to deal with cats, wont have this problem.

I met my partner and she couldn't believe how much I love cats. I was feeding a stray Tom at the time, I had my own cat named clover, he was my shadow too. Unfortunately he passed away at the age of 14 on may 18, miss him so much.

they truly are! i think cats get the bad rap they do in part due to the fact that unlike dogs, they're not a pet designed to love you unconditionally. people often forget that dogs were bred to be loyal to us so as long as you display a passing regard for the animals life, they're bound to you until death. cats, on the other hand, are a lot like people. you need to build trust with them and work on the relationship in order to create an everlasting bond. it's not inherent and it certainly isn't unconditional, as any respectable cat owner will tell you that their love and trust can be taken away if you aren't considerate of their wants and needs. unfortunately too many people view pets as cute cuddly things that are little more than an extension of themselves, and while that mentality may go over smoothly with dogs, cats will happily let you know they're agents of their own lives and not just companions bred for human enjoyment.

Me too...when I wiped out on my stairs my cat was the only one who came to comfort me. My F.A.S dog only looked annoyed n walked off. I will never look at a kitty differently again. 💜
