Once I adopted a stray kitten. I washed her up and she was very very shy, very silent. When I brought her to my bed and she prefers the dark corners inside my blanket and hide there, eventually falling asleep. Fast forward 4 months later, I got the loudest and spoiled cat. Yep, same like Introverts

I had a roommate who wasn't sure how to treat cats either. When we brought a cat into our home, he started patting the cat like you would a dog, and suddenly, the cat LOVED him. When we all moved out, the cat went with him. :D

So true. About a week before Christmas my boyfriend saw a beautiful outdoor black cat while delivering for Amazon and went raving about how he wants a black kitten now as a companion for our 2yo female. A few days later, he sees that same cat AND HER KITTENS! One of whom was a little black male which is just what he wanted. Owner gave him to us 2 days later. An unexpected but amazing Christmas gift.

If a cat walks up to you and it's socialized to humans to the point that it's already completely tamed then it's not a question that it's someone else's cat...imagine, not having your cat chipped or being part of some online group gives people the right to claim it as their own.

@@duewhat9815 Their fault for not getting the cat chipped. Used to have a cat that kinda walked into our lives. It was winter and it kept sticking around wanting to go inside. We ended up taking it in due to the cold, and it was not chipped and we asked around on lost pet groups and looking for missing posters for months. Found nothing, so we just kept him. Rest in peace Tigergutt my best boy.

@@Ozzianman Just because a cat isn't chipped doesn't mean it doesn't belong to someone nor does it make it any less stealing if you decide someone else's cat is yours. Also, it's a little different deciding on the spot that a cat is yours simply because it walked up to you and was being friendly and without even giving it a chance to go home on it's own than it is bringing in a cat that has chosen on it's own to remain there.

I have a beautiful rag doll cat and she has been raised with 2 dogs… literally thinks she is a dog. So much that when the 2 dogs go out for potty she goes out and in with them 😂

Bean and Pinto. EXCELLENT. Pinto is just flat out GORGEOUS and reminds me of a kitty I rescued and successfully rehomed. His name was Silver during the time I cared for him. He took a little piece of my heart and never gave it back... As they do.

I like that game too. My uncle taught their car to get it also, but he had always had a brace of hunting dogs when younger. Blue tick coon hounds that had amazing noses, and were amazingly beautiful. Now with only a cat, he loved his cat as much, and the cat sat, stayed and did all the commands, including came when called, and fetch. Surprised me! The cat has been with my aunt and uncle for 20 years, and made an impression on me. It is the result of both the personality of the cat, as well as the owner. They had it going on!

Cats are so quirky when you get to know them. My one cat is a shoulder kitty and loves snuggling and sucking on her favorite blanket while she paws on it. My new kitten trills instead of mews and enjoys walking around with his little toys in his mouth. People who hate cats, just haven't met the right ones.

I can't tell you how impressed I was with myself when I taught my first cat how to fetch. Then, I see five million cats fetching the same, if not better, than mine on KZfaq. I was so deflated...lol. But, I imagine this guy was just as impressed with himself as I was, because no one ever tells you that cats do that 🤨😏.

Good part on the cat's part and good job on your part. But comparing that to people on social media, really iffy. No one wants to be compared for that, especially if it's comparing signs of affection. Just enjoy your cat company and attention during these situations. I mean, I've seen probably seen thousands of people hug each other on social media/media in general but that doesn't make my hugs any less. Similarly, I've also seen thousands of people's fancy cooking online but it doesn't make me feel disappointed about my own cooking and doesn't make me feel like my food is less delicious.

Haha! I loved this! Loved what he said at the end about giving cats a chance and finding their own individual personalities etc. This is exactly true and a very mature way to describe it. And then the very end with him carrying Bean up to the tree and Bean just bwing like, "Yes human who stole my mum and then my heart (but I'd never tell anyone that ever out loud)...Carry me like a human baby and let me smell the leaves, this, is what you were made for," with his little hind legs sticking up in the air 😂😍😍 TOO cute!!

Absolutely nothing wrong with treating a cat like a dog. They are not very different. My cat grew up with dogs. She acts like them all by herself and we love that about her. Hikes in the woods and car rides and cookies for sitting and coming when called! It’s awesome!

I am yet to meet a cat that doesn't like a head pat. The furry upside-down cuddle maneuver isa bit less universally accepted, though. Kitty has to be very trusting of you.

I think they're actually those little nail caps. They're made to keep kitties from scratching up the people or home. They're kinda like women getting their nails done as they're temporary and need to be changed every few weeks. They come in all different colors!

Sweet cats & kind owners. Cats dont like to be held on their backs. They perfer to have a escape exit so holding them up on your chest with their front paws over your shoulder is best.

I've met some they say they hate cats - then one day - bam! he met the Right Cat (actually rescued it from parking lot in HOT weather, and called friends to come take it, with no luck (mb on purpose 🤭) & guess who loves that kitten/cat now & did a complete turn around... He posts more pics & videos of it, than anyone I know! 😂 🤗

Oh man! My third cat was really into watching the toilet being flushed as a youngster. As he grew older he didn’t care. But seeing your cat liking flushing brought back the memory of my late Manny who liked watching for a while.

I do the same thing with my cat, she's honestly more like a dog. I play fetch with her and she brings the toy back. I even take her outside for walks around my apartment complex just like a dog as well. Harness and all and she totally doesn't mind it. She is actually always begging me to take her outside

Cats are amazing I have one, if I'm sleeping while he's up and about in the morning he becomes an alarm clock with constant meowing and jumping on my bed , my eyes are still half closed while I feed my 4 legged alarm clock , I love Sox
