I must congratulate the Paruima community and the Arecuna people on their sensible approach to their future and protection of their environment, it looks like a beautiful place.

I so agree with the comments you heard from the parima villagers .hope they hold on to their beliefs what happens to the other village with the mines is a slack of our own indegenous people said to say but now traveling and learning we as indegenous should really value ours and our lands/villages and self worth 😉 😀 😊 you did a great job really lessen to our people and concerns thank you God bless 🙌

Prayers and power to the children learning and using their language! I am an indigenous Tohono O'odham from southern Arizona and there is a unique sound I hear in their language that sounds like one if ours that is very unique to us as well.

Very happy to hear that they are protecting the environment and not allowing mining.

If you are a ppl that are different, you must maintain your language, regardless. And it starts from the old generation passing it down to the young. It must be spoken all the time as their first language. But eventually, it will be lost.

Fantastic series of videos,Neil Marks really presented some impressive source material, that shot 11:24 with the waterfall is just majestic, this is what people should be excited about not that one shot drive by show that Gordon Ramsey presented.

very nice to see u neil going there to interview the natives, farming and tourism is the best way to preserve the land and water ways, mining in many countries have destroy many people, causes cancer and war , violence , america canada and may other countries only going into poor countries to exploit our resources, they get rich and we people becomes beggars, who live long enough will tell the tales, i may not live to see,

The Arecuna Nation is a very brilliant group of people. Fantastic English speakers! My suggestion is to look into moving Call Centers to Paruima, or Computer Configuration Centers . Tourism is also a good start! Good Luck from an Arawak tribesman!

Call centers, tourism, mining, development, etc. are all ecologically and culturally destructive.
