People surf standing waves like this in rivers also, which actually is better because the water flow and the waves remain constant. When the water's eroding sand, the pattern changes constantly.

Wish the Greenough would burst more regularly. They need council help occasionally. If vehicles are driving on them it changes their ability to break naturally. The Greenough stinks and people still let their children swim in it.😎👍
