I've been to Thailand multiple times, but I am also in my 20s. I loved the night bar scene, and found it very easy to find real relationships away from the bars. Some of my best friends I still talk to I met in Thailand. Going back in November, I can't wait.

Great ! I agree, even when you visit for a brief period. Pat has a great channel and it's the first time I believe he's addressed this. At the same time, other channels only profit and exhaust this angle. Their followers are the ones that hail a taxi to Pattaya upon BKK arrival. Most old and dilapidated with fallen ego's rise when told they are handsome. 😀 Channels like @thailandbound cater to these type of fallen men. His monger minute is akin to the drop at a EDM venue, and frenzy of deplorables get wilded up again. The next drop is for. "Spot the Lady Boy" which activates another frenzy amongst the downtrodden.

It's not a waste of time if your not seeking a girlfriend...😅

How true about many western women/wives! (especially the aging ones) hahha! Once they get past 40 they become professional whingers and naggers and believe almost any old rubbish that the media tell them to. I'm married to a Thai lady (just a normal one who works in a normal job ..not a bar girl) and she just keeps getting better and better over time like a fine wine. There's only a 10 year age difference between us though, so generationally we're not far apart. Age difference is something men should take into account if looking to marry a Thai lady. If your 60 and she's only 22, there's a huge difference in age to overcome!. Not many men in their 60's (unless they are wealthy) would be dating a 22 year old back in their home country, yet they think that such a thing will be absolutely fine in Thailand for some reason. If men marry women who are closer to their own age it will increase their chances of a much happier and more faithful and mature relationship. There are plenty of extremely beautiful older Thai women if one takes the time to look for them. (not in clubs!) I'm not saying that the age thing runs across board, as I'm sure there are couples with a 20+ year age gap who still manage to make their marriages work, but it's just common sense really. Tell your son that it's easier to take the bar girl out of the bar, than it is to take the bar out of the bar girl! Cheers! Wishing you and your wife another 22 years of blissful marriage.

My friends stopped asking about me getting a GF/Wife after I explained I am happy 85% of the time and lonely 5%. I am not willing to destroy the 85% to fill that 5%. If I meet the right woman then I will bring her into my life. It is so nice not needing a relationship. Too many men must have one and they take whatever they find which leads to disaster.

In my early 50s now and working UK. Planning my return to Thailand🇹🇭 Had 2 long term Thai girlfriends over the years. One for 5 years and the last for 7 years. But pandemic lock down closed that relationship. First girlfriend I took out of the bar when she was 23 and lived together Pattaya. Second was lovely mainstream Thai professional. Both were lovely ladies. Circumstance broke relationships down. Don't listen to all the horror stories. I have fond memories of my ladies. Looking forward to finding the Third. She won't be a bar girl. I'm too experienced for that now.😉😎

Hi pat next time I’m in Bangkok I’m going to travel on that BTS train and hopefully visit the places your going to the victory monument and the park with the lizard and the circle, it’s great that the Thais are so proud of there history I’m like you from London and we have a great history, the only place I’ve really seen in Bangkok is the floating market and my girl dragging me around the shops, it great your channel really enjoy all the lovely peaceful places away from all the bars and stuff, keep up the great work pat good on ya.

@Ocean Earth she was a waitress I lived in pattaya for 6 years there are good and bad you just have to get your right head in working order this is my second one I learned the first time second one been ten years now living in issan I was more street wise 2nd time if you wan a relationship you have to move away from tourist areas to much temptation mind you there are some beautiful lady's and girls in the villages also if not better in my opinion

I just spent Friday and Saturday night in Patts and it wasn’t for me. I am here until September travelling here and there looking to find a longer term place to just enjoy everyday life in Thailand. I am in Hua Hin now and it has made a good first impression.

You are absolutely right. People go to Pattaya or Soi Cowboy expecting and seeing the tourist holding hands with the woman 30-40 years younger and scream - “That proves my point!”. What they need to do is drive an hour outside Bangkok and observe the Thai-western couples in Big C. They are normal happy married families.
