Brockie's dead man. They should have just stopped the project then. It shows they care more about the money then the art. Could have started a new project with a new name keeping the same basic idea even playing GWAR songs but to respect David and everything he did to just keep using his brand seems really fucked to me. I could be totally wrong and maybe this is what David would have wanted but from the outside looking in it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

@@2l2lgaming3 I've seen people online say that Dave wanted the band to outlive him and carry on doing music and other projects. GWAR has lost great talent over the decades like Danielle Stampe, Chuck Varga, Don Draculich, Dave Musel, Hunter Jackson etc I'm glad these losses don't mean the end for GWAR Yes it's not the same without Dave but I think that gwar has never been the same, it's always changing styles and members come and go as they please A recent case is when Brent Purgason left, they got a member from Cancer Christ to take the spot and he's great. As long as GWAR continues to find great talent, gwar will not die. (Apologies if I got the spelling of names wrong)

So.....there is the whole fact that Dave Brockie threw every penny he made ( that he didn't spend on crack and food) back into the slumdog universe.....with the SOLE intention of funding it to continue AFTER he was gone. He has literally said in multiple interviews that he wanted it to carry on after he died and puts all his money into ensuring that happens. So here you come, saying it's disrespectful to respect someone's dying wishes and keep a band going that he put all his money in time into hoping it would continue. Do you hear yourself? Its funny that you think you know what Dave wanted and what is disrespectful to him more than he did. Screw the fact he's on record saying what's happening now with what was exactly what he wanted....we will just believe you instead of the actual person you're talking about. Also his name was Dave, he never went by David.

This is going to sound weird, but this made me tear up. My late best friend loved gwar, he used to play it on his radio show in college in the late 1980s and early '90s. He didn't live to see the Barbie movie, but he would have loved that, and he would have loved this.

I got teary eyed as well. My ex husband had been one of my best friends since we were like 14 and we watched GWAR's "movies", listened to a ton of GWAR, and years later went and saw them a few times (Ragnarök era, we were 20 by then). Even after we spilt, we stayed friends and I was friends with his 2nd wife (we were all friends when we were teens). He passed away 2 months before his 36th birthday and when I turned 36 about 5 months later, it was the first time I'd ever been older than him. It's been 13 years now and whenever I see stuff like this, it makes me think of him and how much he would have loved this.

AI can't recreate it without an artist that would have come from the angle of doing that stuff to begin with.
