At the end of Wild Hunt you can choose Yen, Triss, or a life of loneliness. I chose the gwent cards... with gwent you never alone xD

I really don't think this is a cash in. Gwent is a really well-made card game that many fans adored. I've played MTG for a while now and this is the first digital card game I've been excited about. This standalone version will obviously have online multiplayer and add more types of cards and game mechanics than the version in the game and I think it could be a huge success if they 'play their cards right'.

I too play Magic, refuse to play MTGO though as it sucks balls so im in the same boat. This is something im really excited about, I love the Witcher series as a whole and Gwent was another amazing experience in game so Im excited that they are expanding on this.

Just started playing the Witcher 3 (I know I'm super late to the party) but I spent a good two and a half hours in White Orchid learning how to play Gwent, it's so much fun! This is amazing but it would also make a great physical card game too a few years down the line!

So Dijkstra's card, aside from it looking epic, has a new Spy ability? Draw two cards, one face up and one face down. And the Toad has a new ability as well :D Awesome! Here's hoping they make a Toussaint deck :p

What is going on with the villentretenmerth card, not only did it scorch more than the enemies close combat units, it removed cards with different values. Wonder what the new rules for scorch is.

Id much rather a physical copy of the card game since I got the game and expansions off steam I lucked out of that option. Id love to go in to a game store buy the decks and play with friends much like I do with magic the gathering, granted the game may fair better as a living card game over than a collectable card game

The main draw is that this version looks to be multiplayer whereas the one in the game can *only* be played with NPCs. But the rebalancing and new cards will make it interesting (curious what some of the new mechanics are as well). It's a shame it's not on mobile though.

It will be a massively wrong decision from them if they decide not to release it for mobile platform. I hope after the beta release, they'll prepare a mobile version.
